Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

I've seen many people say the same. In my opinion it's big, bulky and just outright uncomfortable! Mind you maybe it's down to the fact that I'm so familiar with dual shock having used it on the PS1/2/3 or maybe I just have little girl hands:(

I have girly hands and I prefer the 360 controller. I've used it since launch though so that's 7 years use right there

I've used both and the 360 controller just doesn't touch the PS controller. It's all personal preference obviously, but only the Gamecube controller came close and that was essentially a very similar controller.

Who first put an analogue stick onto a handheld?
You could get an analogue stick add-on for the Gameboy Advance

Anyway, I think it is time that Sony tried something new in regards to controller. It'll surely put some people off and the old "don't fix what isn't broken" saying obviously applies, but they must be wanting to try things that just aren't possible with the current set-up.

They should do what Nintendo have done (which they often do to be fair) and allow all the controllers from the previous console to work with select games (and for backwards compatibility) then everyone will be happy.

As for my personal preference, I never liked the position of the analogue sticks on the Playstation controller, so have always preferred others. Gamecube was my all time favourite, while I really like the Xbox 360 pad as well. Lately though, I've come to really like the new Wii U controller (not the one with the screen, although that's fine too).

Very similar to the Xbox 360 controller, and while it looks weird at first, the sticks in that position are actually a lot more comfortable after you've been using the pad for a good few minutes. It feels a lot more natural very quickly and the handles are better than the 360 pad too. As Weaste said, sticks on the same level feel better most of the time (but I don't really play FPS' so I don't need them as often).

Yeah, they're underneath the d-pad and action buttons on Vita and I expect there to be a PS4 controller that isn't far off the Vita design itself (they could have multiple controllers, though I'd doubt it from Sony).

It's all about implementation Lambs, and the d-pad on the XB360 is terrible.

Good thing it's never used then huh?

Anyway, if your restless enough to be banging on about the Vita, why don't you just play it? You can play an online game, granted you'll only be playing about 3 japs and a guy that won one in a raffle, but I've heard Cod can still be fun on it? ;)

I don't even play online on the PS3 Lambs!

Fair enough.

You don't seem to be wording your posts too well tonight though mate, been on the sauce? (Jealous )

I fully admit my sentence structure is awful at times. Usually its when I post in a rush, or from an iPod.

Would it be a mistake, or a good move, to release every PS4 with two controllers, a Duel Shock 4 and a Alternate Controller 4*? *or something.

I know lots of people are bored of the Duel Shock, but I think its close to perfect. The Shoulder buttons need to be deeper, as should the XSCT but we all know that.

The PS3's problems weren't with the controllers, even if you wouldn't think it from the amount of articles written about them.

VITA is an option, you aren't getting one in the PS4's box though.

Anyone who plays Street Fighter and hasn't got their own arcade stick/controller is a charlatan who deserves nothing less than a swift death.

How would you play it without an arcade stick or controller?

I'd counter that by saying anyone who can play Street Fighter with just their mind is either Jesus or insane and imagining it...

Will this be the last generation of video game consoles, or is cloud gaming still decades away?
