She can't.Could she lose?
Could she lose?
Don't know why "Pound tumbling" came up on my news feed.
For gods sake. Not more party political broadcasts.![]()
Lots of people at our work are eating that there's questions about her health. Are those rumours from just the uncertain hour after the statement was announced?
This isn't that, she's putting down the cards for the Tories to stay in power for a long time. The fecking gall of these people to call for an election after shitting the bed so thoroughly on negotiations.![]()
Lib Dems I guess? They can get fecked if they think I'm gonna vote for them but no idea who else I'd want to vote for either.
Mrs May blamed opposition parties and the House of Lords for stalling her agenda and weakening her negotiation position with the EU. “The country is coming together but Westminster is not,” she said. “Division in Westminster will risk our ability to make a success of Brexit.”
Lib Dems I guess?
Her logic is basically that she can't negotiate under a parliamentary system and she wants unquestionable authority. That's scary
Labour have to hit back hard now and give people something they can get behind or we're all fecked. Work with the SNP, work with the Lib Dems.
We did try...Labour should have ditched Corbyn after the Brexit debacle.
They will regret it.We did try...
You have to admire the bullshit. Depressing that people will lap it up.
This isn't that, she's putting down the cards for the Tories to stay in power for a long time.
Everyone keeps saying there is no way negotiations will be done in 2 years. By winning the GE now, she'll have 5 years to negotiate brexit, negotiate the free trade agreement, and deal with the fallout.
If you have a pro-EU stance... we're fecked basically.
The elections weren't due until 2020 anyways so the Brexit timeline probably has little to do with this. It seems like she is capitalizing when the labor is in turmoil and squeezing home the advantage for the Tories. There is however the lovely albeit minute chance this could blow up in her face like it did for Cameron with the referendum.
