Post-match discussion

I cannot believe he is still trying his precious 5-3-2 system.

It's like a villain from a horror movie. Just when you think it's good and dead it appears out of nowhere and fecks everything up.

Top 4 is all but gone for me. We were fighting with Leicester and Spurs. Leicester have opened a 10 point lead so they're out of sight. So it's down to Spurs and not only have they a 5 point lead, they are playing a lot better than us. To be honest, they both 100% deserve it.

That was tumescent, terrible result and terrible performance, absolutely no threat in attack at all, if you want to look for a positive I'd say CBJ's performance, he used the ball better than our CM's.

Disgraceful performance, talentless players, shit tactics, shit substitutions, can't mark the one player in their team that you need to. Rubbish. No passion. No fight, the players may be trying a little bit but the system is a mess. Fellaini useless, Martial and Rooney with no support, Lingard awful. Kept crossing the entire game. Only nice bit was 5 minutes after Mata came on. Didn't make a single good chance in the entire game, at home... Every other big club wouldn't stand for this, how can we???

Derby will beat this side. They are complete and utter shite. Not that much between this side and the relegation fodder. We play like we are going for 40 points.
Maybe not 40 but we won't have much more than 55 which is going to be utterly diabolical.

Already are quite a few polls on caf with majority saying he should have been sacked a while back.

Ok, well just put me down for a yes anyway.

This match is the manager 100%. When it gets to this stage of performance you then know it has nothing to do with the players.

It never was. The players, with the exception of Rooney, Fellaini, Lingard etc, are excellent, top class players with a lot of potential. They're being mismanaged and drained of confidence.

We are falling faster than most could've predicted. A very average side. I reckon 2/3rds of our players aren't up to the standard. Someone needs to be accountable, and I think it is a lot more than that...

People still think that this is the level of the players?

This is what it looks like at the moment:

When has the back three EVER worked out? What the feck was he thinking? Are we so flush in fullbacks that we need to play one at CB and play a kid and a kid winger at wing back? Why does Fellaini still exist? Where did LVG think the goals were going to come from today? Why didn't he change the system when it obviously failed to work for the entirety of the first half? It's all fecked.

Also, feck Shane Long.

Deserves to go but sad to see the crowd turning nasty on him really.
At this point what the feck can they do? Applaud him like Moyes so that we keep him until top 4 is mathematically impossible?

The fans must voice their displeasure at the situation. Staying quiet at this stage would demonstrate an apathy that's worse than any outrage.

The Glazer's should brief news of a 3 year extension, just for the lols.

Wasn't really expecting a title challenge in the second half of the season, but now we can't even hope. Arsenal were only 7 points ahead and play Chelsea, anything but a win today was completely unacceptable.

Van Gaal has been a pathetic parody on a top manager during his time here, the players have been pathetic too. They didn't reach the intensity required to win a football match today, not even for 15 minutes. There's nothing left to do really, whether Van Gaal fecks off or not, it's too late now anyway. Wait until the summer to finally fix this shite, though looking at our decisions since Moyes took over it's odds on us not delivering again.

Woodward, Giggs and whoever else is responsible for the assembling of this sorry squad should go as well.

Absolute shite. Watched that game multiple times this season. Absolutely damning that the most notable thing in the match before the goal was a mouse on the pitch. As for the goal, fecking shocking defending.

We keep torturing ourselves every week just watching this crap. Gutless, insipid performances that give you no confidence we're even going to win. The fans aren't hiding their frustration any more and you can understand why. They spend their hard earned money to support the team and we're giving them so little in return.

One shot on target again. One. Two shots on goal in 180 minutes of football.

And do you know what that shot was? Blind's ambitious 40 yard daisy cutter straight down the middle.

So pathetic.

I had a dream last night that United lost and they sacked van gaal yet I still put money on United to win 3-1 am I a total f@@@wit or should I believe my dream my money doesn't matter the people that make sacrifes to pay good money to watch United they matter he will be binned no question

I agree. I refuse to believe our players are this shit. The system itself is broken.
You've seen their touches, their passes and their crosses today and they were shit. That has nothing to do with the system, just lack of very basic technical ability.

Think thats time up for him really.
He was given a good opportunity to turn our crap december form around and it hasn't really happened.
Its marginally better now but i wouldn't fancy our chances of getting more points than west ham or the likes between now and the end of the season.
Forget spurs or leicester

That was wrong.. The players got out fought and the manager got out thought. Tactically he got it wrong with his faith in Lingard today, everything was set up for him to put in a Young display but he lacked everything for the job.
This team need them type of players most fans believe to be below our level to give it the right balance. There seem to be a woosy attitude amongst the players, no one is say go around nutting people...just stand up and be counted. Little things like looking busy does help an attack or.. moving forward to close the gaps and be in with a fighting chance for the second ball or.. Kick the fecking ball properly when making a bloody pass.

Southampton looked dangerous from set pieces throughout, getting closer and closer. I could see we needed to score two goals to stand a chance. Sadly I don't remember a single United chance, only a bit of a surge when Mata come on, then we had a the Darmian injury and in no time at all it's 80 mins into the match.

I doubt SAF was impressed with the Januzaj sub. Adnan looked like he just got out of bed just before coming on. Really with what's happened to him, I don't think it was wise. Would not surprise me if that's that with LVG.

Deserves to go but sad to see the crowd turning nasty on him really.

Turning nasty? A couple screaming and one showing him the wanker sign wasn't that nasty. Putting him in the pillory and parade him around Manchester so we could throw rotten fruits against him would be more worthy of his crimes against this club.
