Much better performance. Should have had a penalties, hit the woodward and missed some good chances. Bad day in front of goal despite a good performance that got worse as the game grew.

Still, we are now 4 points behind Spurs which is a worry.

Better team, completely. Energy clearly ran out after 60 mins or so.

Rooney ran more but missed a key chance and should have been sent off. Played some wayward passes and clearly got fatigued early in that second half.

You just knew we weren't going to win it after hitting the bar and post, seeing a 3 yard effort stopped with a save the keeper knew nothing about and watching 2 penalty claims (Mata incident and Willian handball) not even get a sniff of a decision.

PS Thank you to Dave for keeping it at 0-0. It's going to be shit watching him do that for Madrid next season.

It was a good performance best in ages and easily best in our 8 game winless run

But clearly the problems are scoring goals

Rooney, Mata both played well Herrera was my motm

I was very disappointed with Bastian. He looks a tired old man

Very good first half. Players still look devoid of confidence though.

Good first half.. While the last 20 mins were the predictable philosophy football we have come to expect.. Overall a good enough game..

Need Shweinsteiger to make more forward passes.. Herrera was good.. Rooney started well but tapered off.. Martial was amazing.. Mata went missing in the second half..

Looked better with Schmidfield and Herrera. Lots more attacking intent. Nobody really had a meh day.

With a bit of confidence the result would have been better. Can't fault anyone.

good, high intensity performance for the first 30 or so minutes then reverted to type.

... and so now we have gone 8 games without winning. when was the last time we did that?

After 30 mins you knew we wouldn't score. Same old story.

All that really proves is that we are better than we've shown and that a new manager might be able to get some good results.

dominated today without ever looking that much of a threat.

But 8 without a win?! 5 home 0-0 draws? Both are unthinkable stats for us.

The question if he's sacked/resigns now, is why the heck after a creditable performance and not shocking result. Why the heck not after that Norwich scandal, or getting us to a situation where we all knew we were losing to Stoke before the game

Eight without a win but much better than the last few games. That tells us little apart from the obvious though: that Herrera, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger are better than Depay, Fellaini and Carrick. We all knew that anyway.

We still can't score. We had enough clear cut chances today but we don't have enough half-chances, we don't force enough errors from the opposition defence because we don't ask enough questions of them. That's the main problem.

Pretty much this.

Probably would've won with a better ref too although I wouldn't back Rooney from the spot these days.

They are truly awful at the moment and we still couldn't put it in the back of the net despite playing much better than usual for most of the game. Our attack is truly fecked.

Chelsea gave United so much room to pass it round tonight, which was a big reason for United's improved performance i feel.

Hit the post twice and like Fellaini last match Herrera must score his chance from a few yards.

How was Willian's handball not a penalty? Referees are morons, the whole lot of them.

Depay looks like someone from the stands brought onto the pitch to play. Shocking.

Decent performance against a piss poor Chelsea team. Bad result, they were really there for the taking.

Better, but still not good enough. They're even shitter than we are.

On a side note, it's infuriating how bad we have been at corners and set pieces throughout the season..

This team with a more suitable tactic can do so much more. That being said, I am starting to cringe every time i see Mata and Blind play. I really dislike players who are scared of a challenge. I don't know what happened there.

Bastian is better than Carrick on present form.

1,16 goals per match this season. Please, for the love of god, get rid of that fraud.

(Enjoyable first half, shit as usual second)

Much improved today, it was ours for the taking but we just can't find the damn net. Very frustrating.

Far better than what we've seen recently and we probably should have won but for poor finishing and poor refereeing.

However that still wasn't a great performance against a very dull Chelsea side that even played into our hands. If that's the level of response we're gunna get, then I disgaree with Scholes and Gerrard that's not encouraging at all.

The first 20-30 minutes were good, but we after that it was same old same old.

5 points off 4th and a poor GD.

We have left changing manager too late methinks to save this season.

Could definitely do with more of that. If we play like that the rest of the season I will be fine. We definitely need goals but I think we were just pretty unfortunate not to put at least one of those chances in the net. Chelsea did nothing. Jose or no...they are playing like a side with 0 confidence. I don't understand why, in this match, they decided to turn it on. What is it? 8 in a row without a win now? Waited too long to feel the pressure and turn things up a bit. I thought most everyone did well. What is the decision of the board now though?

Decent opening 10-15 minutes.

Beyond that - pretty much standard United of recent.

Rooney actually started well but still managed to fade as expected, missed a great opportunity at the end and should have been sent off. Martial played well too.

Good today. Hit the woodwork twice, should have had at least 1 penalty and Courtois made a world class save. We took the game to a surprisingly negative Chelsea which is all you can ask.

Pretty much this.

Probably would've won with a better ref too although I wouldn't back Rooney from the spot these days.
Yeah, he could have missed the penalties... I'd rather Herrera took those, not that we're getting any these days.

It's worrying how it starts falling, one min you're top, then within a win from top, then 5 from top. Now 5 from 4th!

Much better, but not good enough. We just can't score goals. We still didn't create enough.

Schneiderlin on we don't concede.

Chelsea were crap. They have big problems.

Should have beat them comfortably. That Chelsea side played the worst of any team I've seen this season.
