It's heartening to know the local fanbase is more rational and respectful than the online/international fanbase, the vast majority of whom seem to be rabidly and obnoxiously anti-Mourinho. I wish I could figure out why there's such a difference between the two groups of fans.Stadium fans voiced huge support for Mourinho, even at 2-0 down, that cant be ignored either by the board or on here.
Lets play with 3 CB and just attack the shit out of the opposition then. Also I love how the supporters inside OT went mental when Sanchez scored. They didn't stop singing. Shows you if the actual support isn't as bad as what online forums suggest.
My bad...I just had a look at the replay,I thought that Smalling was out of position for the 2nd goal but it looks like he was just following his man.Bailly,Young and Matic were culpable for the goals...I'm curious how Smalling was remotely at fault for either goal? Both goals he took care of his man and it was the player coming between Young and Bailly that scored.
I think we should play 3CB. Move Pogba as one of the CB so he can spray those long pass and move into space in midfield. Martial was good last night, not good but if he can continue from last night it is a start. Last night 2nd half performance should be something week in and week out, not when we are down and out.

They were singing his name but that doesn't suit your narrative, does it?The support inside the stadium was for United and in a reaction for the late win.
I love how the Jose brigade is somehow trying to spin it into a moral victory for Jose and his actions.
Get this Man out of my club ASAP.
To be fair to Martial, I think that was exhaustion (or possibly a small knock) rather than laziness. Moments before he'd struggled to pick himself up after our last attacking move died.I think there is definitely a connection there but Martial did not do any tracking back when we needed him to. There was a point where Jose was on his knees on the touchline because their full back had broke down the wing again and Shaw was under all kinds of pressure. Think they got a cross in before Martial realised he should be back there doing something about it.
Newcastle should have had a penalty at 2-0, which would have been game over. Yes, the last twenty minutes were great: it was like the United of old, but we all know it won't continue into the coming games; not unless we have a new manager. The club is toxic; one great comeback can't change that.Apart from the last 20-30 min that was a shocking performance -the worst so far. To concede 8 shots on target against this Newcastle side at home is absolutely inacceptable. The team looked depressed and could not defend at all. The last 20 min were great though. You coiuld see that the players did not want to sack Jose. Let's see the continuation vs Chelsea. It will be tough there. We need players who can press well and counter attack quickly. No McTominay, especially at CB.
It's so easy to criticise sitting behind a computer. I bet half of these 'hard guys' would be begging for Jose's autograph if they met him in person.I think most of them are
• Pool supporters
• Have never been to a match and twiddle football is their virtual reality buzz
• attention seeking wums
I think people can enjoy it but 20 minutes of all out attack against a shit team who are sitting back, protecting a lead and inviting pressure does not excuse a) the first 60 minutes horror show b) the set up and subs designed to make a point to ed, not to win the game and c) the last 18 months of crap. It's so easy to criticise sitting behind a computer. I don't want Jose to continue, atleast not after this season. But if you are apathetic after such a comeback, where the players gave it their all at the end, and the manager was so full of emotions, I don't know how you can't take a step back and not enjoy the moment.
I get what you are saying, Jose needs to go at some point.I think people can enjoy it but 20 minutes of all out attack against a shit team who are sitting back, protecting a lead and inviting pressure does not excuse a) the first 60 minutes horror show b) the set up and subs designed to make a point to ed, not to win the game and c) the last 18 months of crap.
I’m sorry but we won today despite Jose not because of him. Doesn’t mean I wasn’t bouncing around my front room when Sanchez scored.
Zidane might not be it, but Jose definitely isnt it. Use a caretaker til we get the right appointment. Mourinho is just a negative a this point.I get what you are saying, Jose needs to go at some point.
But a lot of people in here wanted to lose, and were probably heartbroken when Sanchez scored the winner. These are simply not fans of the club, they just hate Jose.
Also, the reason I want Jose to continue for a while is because I don't want us to rush in for another manager. We really need to think about our next appointment. I really don't think Zidane is the ideal manager for us now.
Those players were nowhere near the worst in the first half. Why did we look so bad in the first half and why did we look so much better in the last 25 minutes.
You can't have it both ways either.
Because it's the same every week. We are always reactive and not proactive until something goes wrong.
Agree 100%.Zidane might not be it, but Jose definitely isnt it. Use a caretaker til we get the right appointment. Mourinho is just a negative a this point.
Yeah, no one's doing that so wind your neck in. Also, who's the Jose brigade? People who enjoyed the win and want more of that? Does the Jose brigade exclude top Reds like yourself who are wise enough to see through the papering of the cracks and it doesn't matter how we play or the results we get anymore, you just him gone at all costs? It's sad that you've got to come here and try and convince internet strangers to value your opinion by trying to create an us and them mentality. The support inside the stadium was for United and in a reaction for the late win.

I'm happy with the desire and effort displayed in the 2nd half. Showed character
A good win mentality for the players
A bad win for the anti-Mourinho brigade.. Unlucky lads
I think its the sheep factor at matches. When you are surrounded by singing fans if say a couple start singing a particular song it soon breaks out that you all or most join in. Its usually the younger fans the teen to thirty year olds that start it as well. Its a lot easier and less controversial to sing praise about your own side/player/manager than it is abuse as well. It's heartening to know the local fanbase is more rational and respectful than the online/international fanbase, the vast majority of whom seem to be rabidly and obnoxiously anti-Mourinho. I wish I could figure out why there's such a difference between the two groups of fans.

What hypocrisy. When Pogba martial underperform it's coz Jose abused them trained them to suck, but when they play good, 0 credits.

Reminisce the 6-0 victory, Noods. I still remember your after match comment under the tunnel when you said Newcastle were lucky to lose 6-0.
