Post-match discussion

Terrible second half. Instead if pressing and attacking with intensity to try to get a winner, our tempo slowed down and we let them dominate. You would think a team that had just scored before the end of the first half, who is fighting to be in the top 4, would come out for the second half firing,

Not acceptable.

Moving Martial to the right was brainless, absolutely killed us.

Top 4 is essentially gone now, may as well startlaying foundations for next season.

Can't think of one single reason why replacing him with Mourinho tomorrow is not a good move for this club

Absolute garbage. No leadership and carrick ducking out of tackles in the middle. LVG needs to pack his bags.

That was worse than the snoozers at Old Trafford. Lingard, Rooney and Schneiderlin did absolutely nothing. Carrick was abysmal from the start. Smalling never won anything in attack that might have given us the edge, gave them a clear header for the goal and kept fouling stupidly to allow Sunderland to breathe. Even DDG could barely save.

The only "positive" was that Depay wasn't horrible when he came on.

No more defenders left.. And the more experienced that are left are suddenly playing like shite.. You don't win trophies with those kind of players. .

Hopefully from now on it's EITHER Rooney or Mata.. not both.

The funniest thing about this is, it probably wont affect Louis at all. United will continue to sink like a stone and Woodward will continue to back his man...

...all the while Mourinho is probably sitting in some London hotel DYING for a call from Man Utd.

Relegation fodder, made to look like league title contenders, by us.
So, the roll call:
Bournemouth
Middlesborough
Norwich
Sunderland.

Who else is in the relegation zone, because, any relegation candidate would want to play us, so they can bag 3 points.

My theory is that the team got a lift when Mourinho was talked about as a certainty. Then LVG said it was nonsense and the board is said to be happy with LVG and that sense of freedom disappeared.
This comment is worse than any player today.

That loss is the last straw and we are going to miss out on CL this season.
De Gea will leave in the summer
We will be stuck in Europa League and no top players will come
We will become the noisy neighbours.

feck me. LVG you are killing us.

I am numb at this point. This pathetic lot of decision makers at this club managed to kill even my anger.

The commentator said this is the worse United team he's seen in years and that most of them aren't the proper quality required and he's right.

Desperately needed to win this one, top four does look out of reach now unfortunately. What a complete embarrassment of a season. Can't see a managerial change until the end of the season despite the loss, we should have pulled the trigger months ago.

It's a team of players that is very hard to like. They're slow and frankly spineless.

De Gea and Martial well done. CBJ the only player that knows how to cross a ball properly in the entire club.

Purple patch is over then.

A complete disgrace. Poor tactics, poor man management, poor everything by the manager. Rooney and Smalling have to take their share of the blame for shocking performances but this has to go on the manager. As usual.

I felt physalically sick as the clock ticked away when we were 2-1 down. Absolutely gut wrenching feeling.

It really upsets me seeing our club in that state it's in.

No fight in this team. 2nd to every ball and they wanted it more.

We played well for about 15 minutes in the end of the first half, 2nd half we never got going again. We just end up cruising in games far too much, and we rely on Carrick to pass the ball forward which is pathetic.

Don't see the point of putting martial to the right wing in the end, he literally did nothing after playing well in the first.

We've only got ourselves to Blame though, we allowed what 15 corners or something stupid. To a small team that just can't happen, we desperately need mourinhoing

Its getting tiresome how week in week out we have to watch games like this, where a win comes every couple of games.

Morgan, Rooney, Smalling, Darmian, Carrick and Lingard all failed to step up to the plate.

This is the blueprint to beating us. Defend deep, win a few set pieces and you have a great chance of scoring.

Darmian will take any excuse to go off, that guy is so soft.

It's funny when we need to score late the other team has way more chances than we do.

Woodward needs to be sacked. In fact sponsors like Adidas should turn the screw on us to get the board to react.
