Very poor opposition. But you can only beat the team that's in front of you. Was ok. Training game.

Many people are saying Lindelof had a good game....not for me. He did well in possession and passing but he looked vulnerable in at least 2-3 ocassions. Was brushed off the ball so easily few times too.
He is just too weak for PL.
You're kidding.

Really enjoyed the first half. Was left wanting more overall after completely taking the foot off the gas in the second. Glad to see Lukaku continue his good goalscoring run and hopefully we can see more big performances from him as we play City next and have the semi-final coming up too. Good to see Sanchez score as well. Hopefully he can kick on now.

Shame we borer off so badly. We could have won by much more and so something for our confidence.
Positives were the first half in general, good interplay and Pogba being the main reason to push forward. Negative was the lack of dynamic and that we stopped playong properly, Lukaku still not getting more service/chances and the lack of balance in the team (left wing compared to the right wing)

Good first half no doubt. Average and slow second half. Overall a very good win for us. Let's kick on and do well in the derby.

I maintain that I'd be wondering if I got value for money for my ticket.

Yeah we all wanna see United win and we've been spoilt for nearly 30 years with easy wins and lots of success but goddamn, why do other teams stay on the gas and absolutely batter others when they've got the opportunity and why do we always, always step off and get complacent?

If we didn't have DDG in net we'd have conceded and potentially given Swansea a chance at a point or three. It's fecking dangerous doing what we do.

We were sublime in the first half too, why not keep that up for 90 minutes and win 4/5/6/etc-0?

We stayed back a little bit but I won't say we were too defensive after the break. had mata not trying to be Ibra, we would have been 3-0 before and after the break.

Decent game for me. Thought we looked good in the first half, then I fell asleep at half time and the mrs didn’t wake me so missed the second. Judging by the comments, not been a bad afternoon for me :p.

Decent first half, really poor second half. We need to build up some goal scoring rhythm. We need to be able to pass the ball decently to create a goal scoring opportunity and finally score the goal more often. Right now, things keep breaking up time and again.

Happy with the result, but I hope we can be more fluid with our play. Today's match was ideal for scoring 3 or 4 goals.

Amazes me how football fans cannot see that an oppo team changing tactics affects a game such that you don’t have as much space as you did or the fact that the changes added pressure to the defense.

Has nothing to do with “handbrakes” or “not wanting it enough” or deciding to play counter attack.

Also, the changes your manager made didn’t have the same effect. Rashford simply didn’t have the same effect on the game as Abraham did for instance.

So it’s a bit simplistic to judge tactics the way I see a lot of people do on here. Just tells you majority of people here haven’t played football and have no clue.

At last.
Someone gets it.
Excellent post.
Do people really believe the boys got into the dressing room and Jose goes, "Now we are two goals up, relax. Don't score again. Defend all the way."?

You know Swansea also had a say in the matter right? They changed tactics and denied you rhythm. Saying stuff like we need to pass better to score more goals is just really simplistic. No offense.

Bit like saying “we need to score more goals to win.” No shyte.

And exert your energy and play crap the next game?

There's a reason why jose seldom changes his lineup during his chelsea days while we always have heavy rotation.

It happened under SAF too.

Other teams batter their opposition when they're as poor as Swansea were today.

We go 2-0 up and shut off completely. It's been this way since 2009.

It was like a training session in the 2nd half....but we looked terrific for the first 30-35 minutes.Just need to replicate that form more often...

What do you expect from a player that gets a wiff of game time once in a blue moon and most the time only in the cups. You expect a defensive destroyer, I am with the others he was solid against a weaker team. Wish he would get more game time, a good ball playing defender.
It's not like he was being rusty that u can make a case it's because of lack of game time.
He was rescued by referee on 1 or 2 occasions. He is good ball playing defender but he is just too weak and can easily be pushed off the ball. And that is something he can't improve a lot . My guess is he will remain as 4th or 5th choice centrebackk which is about right considering his defending susceptibility.

All of our play went down the left side. Right side was basically non existent. That's one area which must be improved before next season.

Swansea's subs seemed to force us back defensively in the second half which made it a boring watch. The first half was good though. Not sure this was apparent to those watching on TV but we played most of the first half with all outfield players in their half! It was a good watch the first half and more goals would have made it a great attacking performance.

My first ever game at Old Trafford and I loved every minute of it! The first half was really fun, the second half could have been better but I’m not complaining after seeing my dream come true.

3 points against a side that got a draw at Spurs and beat Arsenal and Liverpool.

Potential banana skin made to look easy.

Bring on City...

Thank you for talking sense.

There are an awful lot of agendas here.

Thought it was a decent first 45 mins but went down hill from there.
This side still needs shaking up.
All looked good and up for it first half. Looked like there had been clear the air talks and Jose had got a response.
Pogba had a good 60 mins but tired and then went missing. He cannot play disciplined football for 90 mins. without being caught out. He needs legs and heads to do his work for him to get the best from him in a free role. Lindelof today for me was good starting to look like he has a future in the premiership for the first time in ages.

You don't like Lindelof, we get it.
Also he is forgetting that when Tammy came on, he had to do something, he had to try and change the game as they were losing. Rashford came on for a team winning 2-0. Although Marcus should really make the most of any chances he gets, this game it was not vital.

What you mean? @R'hllor says its all made up

Is making stuff up your default mode or what!?

I said how people didnt have issue with a RESULT, nothing else and you come out with "R'hllor says its ALL made up" as reply to a poster about criticism regarding JM.

Christ, you would fit right in InfoWars, be like Alex Jones`s apprentice or some shit like that.

No I watched the game. I dont condemn a players career over a few matches especially in his first season but thats just me.
It's okay. Some people are slow learners and it takes them some 2 seasons to realize what others do in half season.

Will take the win. Performance is what I have come to expect from the team.
