According to the live SkySports thing, the Newcastle players were pointing to the linesman who seemed to indicate that Suarez was offside at the moment of the foul. Would that have changed anything?

Good lord no. If I was a top red, I would defend players like Young to the hilt and swear that it is not in his locker at all. However, I like to see things as they are. I hate Liverpool and Suarez, but for me, it was a clear penalty and red card. If that had been Rooney, I would have said the same thing. Again, for the top-red thing, if you couldn't see the smiley, then you have no sense of humour whatsoever..

I would have to disagree Brwned. Nani might have gone down and we would have got the penalty, but Young would have gone down well before the contact. He has previous for initiating contact or going down before contact was made.
