Premier League 19-21 Oct

Suarez made an absolute meal of it but it was a baffling choice of defending.

Confident penalty from Gerrard. Just hard and low enough to beat Krul, as it wasn't exactly in the corner.

Hard to see past a Dipper win here, possibly by two or three goals.

Same thing I always expect from Newcastle - shit defending from below average defenders. In my lifetime will Newcastle ever field a competent back four?

How many of our players would have done the same thing in that situation where we are one goal down??? Youngy would have gone down before the touch, fo sure.

Why did I read that all the way to "fo sure."

Ruined my day.

How did he make a meal of it or dive? He was in on goal and the defender put him off balance with a blatant pull on his arm.

Nonsense.

Felt the hand on his shoulder ,went down like he was hit by a sniper.

According to the live SkySports thing, the Newcastle players were pointing to the linesman who seemed to indicate that Suarez was offside at the moment of the foul. Would that have changed anything?

Our players? You're a Barca fan.

Young would have gone down well before the hand-to-shoulder.

Born and bred in Wythenshawe, which is probably 200 miles north of where you are at the moment...:D I like Barcelona of course and I have a dislike for Real Madrid. So, in all, I am a Manchester United fan first, Lyon fan second and Barcelona third.

Probably the turning around toward the ref with his arms in the air as he was falling.

I think yes it shouldn't have been given, if that was the case. I haven't seen the replays though so don't know.

If he was offside, then it's not a foul. Hopefully BT picked up on that so Owen Hargreaves can give some in-depth analysis for once.

I was wondering how Suarez got behind the defender but then I realized the defender had Newcastle shirt on and thus was probably a shit defender. He probably got caught ball-watching and Suarez snuck in behind.

Newcastle comfortably holding a lead, minute later they've absolutely ruined it.

Typical Newcastle! Idiots.

Nani or Young may have done the same but it was a very gentle tug.

Ah, a Top Red moment now. I see.

Good lord no. If I was a top red, I would defend players like Young to the hilt and swear that it is not in his locker at all. However, I like to see things as they are. I hate Liverpool and Suarez, but for me, it was a clear penalty and red card. If that had been Rooney, I would have said the same thing. Again, for the top-red thing, if you couldn't see the smiley, then you have no sense of humour whatsoever..

Surely Tiote wasn't interfering with play and Suárez was offside?

Newcastle turned the panic button on just after scoring, even though Liverpool continued to create nothing, Newcastle's defence made a meal out of every single situation in their box after the goal.
