Premier League fixtures - April 8th-10th

This is so frustrating when they were 1-0 down to be ahead and Stoke are finished. The Premier League is a joke and the teams seem to only try hard against Man United. How many points did we throw away to allow these scouse gypsies to pull ahead of us again? Congrats to Mourinho and to the team. You have outdone yourselves you bunch of fannies.
Never get promoted

3 points away at Stoke? That'll do me :D Bugger knows why we had to have both Coutinho AND Firmino on the bench for the start of the game, but glad it worked itself out in the end.
Wasn't cold, and it isn't Tuesday so they obviously aren't the same outfit.

It's horrible reading a United a forum and the resident dippers are cheering on liverfool and openly saying they want United to lose. BAN THEM ALL.

Well we will probably win now tomorrow anyway as we are good at matching the teams above us

And then there's their cheerleaders our own United fans.

Why is there so many dippers on here? I don't want this place to become as bad as RAWK but blimey I can't stand them gloating as such.

There's fecking loads of them here of late it seems. You even get them posting in the Utd section as well.

I would have joined Planet Football or whatever it's called if I wanted to chat with Scousers.

A big win for Liverpool.

Spurs 4-0 Watford (Son 2, Alli, Dier)
Man City 3-1 Hull (og, Agüero, Delph - Ranocchia)
Middlesbrough 0-0 Burnley
Stoke 1-2 Liverpool
(Walters - Coutinho, Firmino)
West Brom 0-1 So'ton (Clasie)
West Ham 1-0 Swansea (Kouyate)

There's like three Liverpool fans posting today. Of course they're more visible when they grind out a big win. If we played today, noone would even notice.

First 18 months were amazing. Immediately made exciting signings in areas we desperately needed improvement and we were great to watch.

December 2015 was the pinnacle, best football Stoke have ever played.

Since then though it's been dire. He's frozen out Muniesa, Imbula, Bojan, Shaqiri, Joselu and Diouf - giving them little or no minutes or sending them out on loan. Instead he's persisted with Whelan, Crouch, Walters and even worse - Charlie Adam.

The football is tumescent, there is no excitement and his refusal to play the players who were responsible for the best time to be a Stoke fan in decades is sending us backwards.

He needs to be replaced before more players leave and we're left with a Burnley/Swansea level squad.
What would your strongest starting XI be? Considering the players Stoke have and how Hughes was meant to move away from Pulis-ball, Stoke should at least be in the top half, I mean they're below Watford and Burnley. If Hughes was to go, who would be a good replacement?

Liverpool are making top four. We'll be lucky to finish fifth at this rate. We had a chance to be two points ahead of them by winning our games in hand but no, we want 6th for life. 666 red devils

Thought Liverpool and City would both win today so no big disappointment.
Liverpool only increased gd by 1 and City by 2 so hopefully we will pull a few back on them tomorrow when we smash Sunderland.
I'm positive we will win by at least 3 goals.

Still paying the price for LVG. Not signing Alli, even though he put a display on in our own back yard, depay instead of Firmino. Sigh.

Liverpool deserve top 4, we don't so it's not an issue for me.

What IS an issue is how we all obsess about 4th like Arsenal fans. I am gutted that we didn't even get near a title challenge. Feck 4th.

Its so weird alright. Being a City fan I feel the same, second season in a row we've been battling you guys for the Wenger (this time with added Arsenal). Really disappointing for both clubs. The fact we're now saying winning the FA Cup and finishing top 4 would be a good season and you guys are saying having won the CC adding the Europa would be a good season but but teams need to take a long look at themselves post season.

It's because of CL footy. We're going to have another season of playing crap teams in the Europa League while Liverpool, City, Spurs and Chelsea are going to look forward to tasty games against the European elite.

Problem is, 4th finish has double meaning for us now.

1) CL football which is where United should be playing. Yeah we can sign players without it as we have proved, but not every player will put up with not playing CL football.
2) We stand to lose a lot of money from adidas if we don't make CL this year.

Grant (Butland if he's ever fit again)
Bardsley - Shawcross - Martins Indi - Muniesa (Pieters is useless)
Allen - Imbula
Sobhi - Shaqiri - Arnautovic
Berahino

If Bojan came back then I'd put him in the number 10 role and Shaqiri instead of Sohbi. Berahino is a weakness as he's a bit shit, so we could maybe go 4-3-3 with Bojan false 9 (worked majically for a few games until Hughes decided it was too effective and stopped it)

Clement was a poor choice IMO
I think at this point it's more about personnel, our recruitment has been poor, the squad has heavily stagnated and we let key players leave in the summer without replacement.

I'm still happy with Clement, and I'm happy for us to go down and him have a season to get things right, but the past few games he's not been anywhere near adventurous enough, especially substitutions wise

Christ I'll delete my post if it bothers that many people.

My comment about needing Arsenal and United to drop points was me stating a simple truth. We're all in a race for top four places and rely on others dropping points as much as we do on our own sides to win.

I do usually post regardless of Liverpool winning or not.

Liverpool are truly a pathetic excuse for a football club. What a shambolic defence. At one point they were supposed to be favourites for the title, and now they are getting thoroughly played off the park by Stoke. 40 goals conceded already this season. And some of their fans had the cheek to argue when I pointed out their defensive deficiencies way back in December. Their record in 2017 has got to put them in the bottom half of the league. Absolute joke of a club, complete charlatan of a manager. Never mind, next year will be their year. It would be an utter travesty if we don't finish above them, though I'm absolutely certain we will.

Stop embarrassing yourself - this is what one would expect to read on RAWK, not here. There's absolutely no reason for you to rant such nonsense. What's your problem?

There's nothing wrong with your post. You're by far the best, and best-behaved Liverpool poster here, keep it up!
