Premier League Gameweek 12

How fecking lucky are Spurs?

Poor old Hull, absolutely robbed. Spurs with another win handed to them by a ref, and they're still shit.

That was nearly the perfect weekend. Although I doubt Spurs are going to offer much competition for top 4 so can't really complain.

Hull are shite. We should dispatch them next week. Should.

Spurs go behind. Opponents gets a soft red. Spurs come back to win. I suppose its a good recipe for success.

Ref is a twat. Jelavic is one of the shittest strikers in the PL.

Already been covered. Hart didn't square up to him at all. Oliver turned his head into Hart who was admittedly close, and should have been booked for charging out of his goal, but that was it.

I suppose Suarez didn't bite Ivanovic, the Serbian defender just lunged into his face with his shoulder?

I don't buy the 'Oliver turned his head into Hart', no footballer should get that close to the ref. He practically headbutted him.

Good opportunity for Spurs to drop points next week at least, they're against Everton at home. And even then, Everton losing is good for us too. Newcastle and West Ham face each other too so at least one of them have to drop points. Then you have Arsenal away to West Brom and Liverpool at home to Stoke (never know what's going to happen with those clubs).

Just have to beat Hull and we'll get a bit of distance between some top 4 challengers.

It's not that bad. I'm not worried about Spurs so I'd rather they have something to play for against our rivals for top 4, which Hull are neither.
Exactly, Spurs are at home to Everton next weekend, after both have played in Europe. So should be interesting. Dropped points for somebody. City at Southampton as well.

Dammit, Raw got in there first.

Spurs next 2 games are Everton and Chelsea

But still, Refs like that should get sacked and never allowed to ref a prem game ever again. That's 2 stupid wins Spurs have now because of red cards in their favour. They should be on 11 points bordering relegation.

I hate Spurs. They're just pests that are always in or around the top four despite being wank all season.

All aboard the Kane Train: whoo hoo!

Goal number eleven for Spurs this season, and I've lost count as far the England U-21's are concerned.

Don't be ridiculous. It's hardly comparable to a bite where intention is unambiguously definite. If you actually re-watch the video you'll see it is correct to say Oliver turned his head into Hart. There was no aggressive, forward movement from Hart and if Oliver felt there was he would have sent him off and Hart would have been hit with a lengthy ban; there isn't a chance the FA would let a player get away with such a thing.

He didn't practically head-butt him at all. He stood closer to him than he should have. That was it. For feck sake, we're talking about a potential headbutt on a referee. Di Canio got a huge ban from memory just for pushing one. If there was even a slight doubt in Oliver's mind that Hart head-butted him he'd have been banned 100%.

I would like to reiterate this sentiment.

They also seem to stumble upon some world class talent that manages to carry them until they're sold.

Carrick, Berbatov, Bale, Modric. Eriksen is just this year's edition of those mentioned.

Did someone get red carded on the Caf so that you could make a comeback?

On second viewing, I accept your version. Maybe a booking was warranted.

The stills seemed to paint a different picture.

Yeah, stills can never be trusted. Hart probably did deserve a yellow as he ran over unnecessarily aggressively but it seems the referees are happy to let players do so today, unfortunately.

That's his second in the league this season? Impressive.

Do other goals for club and country not count? It's also only his second league start for Spurs.

True, but it's great to see an academy player come good.
My concern is that if he carries on playing ok and the hype continues to build, he'll get shoehorned into the senior England side and it's far too early, let him play for the u21s and nurture him.
