Try this version .. it should make it clearer for you
Lamela made the most out of it but have to say that was a clumsy tackle by VVD. There was no need for him to do such a stupid thing. Rash and clumsy to say the least.

I can see a clear kick to the calf. Not the knee.

There are about 2, 3 videos in which a kick is clear as daylight.Coming from one of the biggest WUMs on the board
Clearly there is a debate to be had because it's not only all over this board (with opinion split even between United fans) but all over other forums and commentators. So it obviously isn't as clear cut as you lot (die-hard United fans) would like it to be.
Yours truly a die-hard Liverpool fan.
Indeed, and the important people in this debate are the match officials. They gave a penalty end of.
you should focus on why, at home, you went one up then allowed Spurs to dominate, equalise, save a penalty, go 2-1 up in time added but conspire to give them an opportunity to put a ball into the danger area. That's on your team not the match officials
He tried and failed to clear the ball, it was a bodged deliberate act. An unintentional act would be a deflection from a shot. I accept that his actions could be interpreted to have been affected by Kane’s proximity and as such he was interfering with play. Perhaps they need the attackers to be in the defenders eye line or something but it seems the way the officials interpret the rules deem Kane not to be offside.
Perhaps they will change it in the future as the interpretations of offside change quite a lot.
You see the first contact? Then the second one?
Is the correct answer.
However I'm not going to argue with every naysayer on this. The evidence is clear, it was never a penalty. That said if I was a United fan I wouldn't give a shit .. it would have been the result I wanted no matter how it came about and the fact Liverpool fans are incensed would only make it the sweeter![]()

This was the best they could do with the subtitles: [Scouse gibberish]Will they put the subtitles on to accommodate the English speakers?
How is that soft? It's a kick full force to the back of the kneedo the ''not a pen people'' think VVD throws his arms up so as to distract away from having booted Lamela on the back of the leg?
(it's a bit soft, & Lamela is hamming it up, but VVD kicks him, Clive)
So we got what we wantedA bit gutted to have missed it but such is life.
I've just seen the 2 penalty incidents and I've got say neither were penalties. Both clear dives from Kane and Lamela. As much as I hate Liverpool I can understand why theyre frustrated. Spurs are really a bunch of diving cheats. Kane, Alli, Lamela all dived tonight. It's a very good result for us United fans in the end definitely.
Purrfect!!Great result for us this draw in the context of the top 4.

Of course there's a debate to be had, I'm just wondering why you'd pick the worst possible angle and claim that it makes it clearer if your intention wasn't to deliberately muddy the waters and skew the argument in your favour.Coming from one of the biggest WUMs on the board

1st pen incident - Kane's pen saved by Karius
Good result for Spurs - an away draw at Anfield keeps us well in contention for a top 4 finish.
Tbh I thought Liverpool were lucky to get a draw - they were the home team, yet Spurs dominated the play for much of the game.
They run out of gas second half, you should have beat them.
It was absolutely not unanimous, considering that the linesman gave the offside and Mike Dean overruled him to give the goal. It was against Newcastle, here's the article below. On the offside. It isn't a new rule.
Jonny Evans scored an own goal when he was at United, trying to clear an offside pass.
It was unanimous from anyone not affiliated, that it was the right decision. Crazy, but that's how the rules were interpreted.

2nd pen incident - Kane scores - 2:2
I agree. Don't know why people are taking for granted that Kane dove. Keeper got none of the ball and came charging out right in Kane's path. Should have been flagged offside, mind.I don’t see how anyone can say these were dives, Kane was stretching to keep the ball had it and the keeper clipped him. The second one was a 50/50 ball and Lamela went for it, got him self between the ball and VVD.
