Premier League Matchweek 25 (Feb 11-13)

There's still something in this for Hull. Just need to focus on one of their counter attacks

Assistant referee with a clear unobstructed view, flag stays down... What a joke!
It wasn't deliberate though so it's a fair goal. Arsenal got away with one a few weeks ago at Bournemouth. That being said, the bitching that goes on here about referees is so boring. It's got way worse since Mourinho became manager, referees make mistakes (albeit he was right on this occasion) and that's ok.

Hopefully the ref realises how badly he fecked up at HT and compensates for it with a dodgy pen for Hull in the second half. If he's unaware, as supposedly refs are kept blissfully in ignorance during the 15 minute break, then I hope the Hull players are shouting down his throat at every opportunity in the second half reminding him of his mistake.

Don't really understand this Hull attacking lineup from Marco Silva, seems overconfident on getting a result here just playing like Arsenal in their home. Not a good sign for the future, when he seemed to start so well.

I really don't get this - almost all teams are basically flawless (including incredible GK's) against Manchester United but the same teams make the simplest mistakes when playing against the other top 6 teams. Can someone explain this to me?
Yes. It's not not true.

Alan smith trying so hard to make it a legit goal.

It was as deliberate as Pogba's hands against Liverpool. Yet, one is considered 100% hands and the other one not.

Didn't even realise Gibbs was playing. How long had it been since his last game? Feels like I haven't seen him play in years.

Seeing the lack of creativity or spark from Hull's midfield, you have to wonder whether the Snodgrass sale was worth it. Could have been the difference between relegation and survival, and of course survival would provide much more money than just the 10 million transfer fee.

Isn't the rule that the hand must be in a natural position and close to the body to be allowed? In this case, it should have been disallowed.

Seeing this makes me a bit irritated that Ibra's goal against Middlesbrough wasn't allowed.

I wasn't sure whether Pogba's was a penalty either but there's a bit of a difference between a ball floated in 40 yards and hitting a hand that's stretched above the player's head and a ricochet from a yard away.

So how did this guy turn hull into a genuinely decent team?
By being a good manager, it seems. Won something at Sporting and broke records for consecutive wins at Olympiakos.

Strange seeing Hull play in black. So used to seeing them in their classic....what colour do Hull play in?

Score like an Egyptian...

Why the feck not use something similar to goal line technology for offsides and spare the assistants for spotting fouls and infractions in and around the box ?

Hull look decent going forward but have made a feck load of defensive errors. Half the Arsenal chances have been from piss poor play by Hull.

Very even half. Possession equal. Both sides had plenty of big chances. Could be any score. And as usual its the referee which decides the score.

It's said that good teams don't get lucky, they deserve it. But I can't see what they've done to deserve this amount of luck...

Yep. Mid table team without lucky decisions and jammy late goals this season.

Yep. This is arguably the worst season they've ever had under Wenger. The position in the League is completely false.

Any other team Top 6 team would be top of the League with the amount of luck they've had this season.

Surprised at how some of you thought that Hull could get anything from this game. Arsenal is a specialist in beating such teams and their loss to Watford last week seems to be an anomaly. They are very consistent in getting 3 points against the small teams, that's why they always find a way to make top 4 regardless of their bad form at any point in the season. There's more chance of City dropping points as their away form is patchy and Bournemouth is strong at home.

Because that would be pretty difficult and expensive to implement. You'd probably have to have some sort of chip in the players boots or some kind of sensor at every ground.

its not dribbling though. sometimes he isn't even involved in the immediate action.

you'd be better off putting down to positioning, reaction time and reflexes than to dribbling
Yeah the times where it falls to him, but he has the ability like Suarez to get lucky bounces when he's running at players as well.

People actually think that goal should be disallowed?

Clearly not intentional, goal should stand.
