Premier League Matchweek 25 (Feb 11-13)

Wenger looks like the shitty spy Johnny English with his whole hidden communication stuff.

The Hull keeper saw the ball ricochet off his leg then off Hand of Chile into goal from a couple yards out.

What's the handball rule v what's a legitimate goal? I fine it hard for that to stand as a legitimate goal the fact that if Alexis had his hand up like that to protect his face from an oncoming shot from distance and the ball hit his hand, inadvertently, and went in...no goal.

People actually think that goal should be disallowed?

Clearly not intentional, goal should stand.
If Pogba has a penalty given for an unintentional handball Sanchez should have his goal disallowed, he handballed it in, wouldn't have scored otherwise.

I know, I said I wasn't sure about the Pogba one but my point is that part of how they determine whether it is deliberate or not is by considering the distance the ball travelled (i.e. significantly further in Pogba's case) as well as the fact that he did have the time to put his hand up (which meant he hit the ball). I'm not sure that was enough to make it a penalty but certainly a lot more valid a decision than it would have been to disallow that goal.

I get your point, but let's agree to disagree here.

I think the goal should have been disallowed and Pogba's was penalty.

Pogba's penalty looked intentional.

So going by the rules of the game, it should have been disallowed, yes?

I just can't grasp the difference between this and Pogba's handball vs Liverpool.

At least that's how I interpret it. And how I've heard referee's explain it.

Pogbas was a pen and that goal should have been disallowed. Shouldn't even be a debate.

Markovic has left Koscielny in his dirt once or twice now

Dammit Cech, make the game at least a little interesting - think of ArsenalFanTV!

Markovic has looked pretty dangerous, at times. Doesn't look like he's running fast, but there's been a few times he's left some of the Arsenal players behind.

The difference, as @RORY65 mentioned, is the distance the ball travels before hitting the hand.

Why else would you have your hand up there? He had plenty of time to adjust as it was a corner, he clearly panicked because he lost his man and tried to make up for it. That's the way I saw it.
Leverage when jumping. Clearly.
