Premier League Sept 28-30

Arsenal look solid at the back and the attacking players are really clicking. Ozil has been predictably excellent and the centre of their excellent football.

They play a lot like our 2006/07 side did in terms of style, Wenger's finally decided to stop mimicking Barca and be more deadly on the break.

I'd love to see what Jopub had to say if Arsenal win the league. No doubt he'd find a way to complain.

I hope Arsenal win the league, would be nice seeing Ozil win the league in his first year with them.

Really can't see United winning it this year to be honest.

It's not just the wins for Arsenal, it's their style of play. It's not the usual "we're gonna pass the ball into the goal" they play, they have a lot of variety to the their game. They can go long with Giroud, they have Walcott (when fit) to run in behind the defence and they have their version of tiki taka.

Arsenal are title favourites for me now.

At the rate we are going, a champions league spot will be as good as winning the league! Anyway if Arse keeps this up they will have every chance to win the league. They have recovered tremendously after losing to Villa on the first day of the season. We won 4-1 at Swansea that same day. How things have changed!

That Ozil signing has given them such a big lift. If only we did that...

Also they have a very strong defence thanks to playing the same defence nearly every game.

I know its a cliche on here but its true Arsenal have yet to play any of last seasons top three, and have only played Spurs at home and todays game away that would be considered a stumbling block.

That said you can only beat whats out there, but we started similar last season and we know how that ended.

They could possibly go above United into third favorites now but still think us and City will be the top two.

If Arsene puts all his eggs in the league basket, they have a great chance.

But their problem is not getting enough points in the big games. City and Chelsea have more squad depth; I'd wager that will play a factor in where the title goes.

Not at all imo. I like Arsenal more than most United fans tbh, but I don't think they'll win the thing. Depth in defence and attack is their biggest problem. A long-term injury to Giroud or one of their 3 CBs and they'll struggle.

This'll be a tester for them. Arsenal of years past would shit themselves here and look shaky as feck for the next 10 minutes.

Ben Davies is massively underrated.

Not sure about that. He's been getting praise all over since the 2nd half of last season, no? He's not as impressive as Shaw but I'd take him over Baines any day.

Absolutely. They are a lot more fun to watch the last couple of seasons.

I wouldn't begrudge Arsenal winning the title, the only downside being that peterstorey would be an insufferable cnut. I think stability is somewhat underrated, and Arsenal definitely have had the most stability out of all the "top" teams this summer.

I am happy for Arsenal. If at all there is a team I want to win league if it is not us, it should be Arsenal. Wenger has stuck by his philosophy, which was too stubborn on occasions admittedly, but this might just be the season to reap benefits with changes at the 3 favourite teams and Arsenal having bought a world class player in Ozil to get the cutting edge upfront. They will still need to buy a good CB and if possible a decent striker cover in January. Few injuries and it will derail their season and that would be unfortunate.

Good win for Arsenal and impressive from Gnabry. Shit name though so won't make it.

Clattenburg is our best ref by a distance I think.

We'd be winning comfortably if we had a world-class striker. But the games are fun apart from that shitefest that the ref caused against the Villa.

Squad depth is an issue, not being very good in big games won't be IMO as long as they can keep beating the inferior sides, this is where most titles are won.

Cardiff city 1 point ahead of us!!!

and they also started the season playing some difficult games...

guess how many yellow/red cards for Gary Medel so far in 6 games... None. Thats brilliant... La Liga is such a joke.

With City and Chelsea dropping points left right and center, and with Arsenal having a great start to the season after the opening day they must have a chance. But its as much to do with the former as to do with Arsenal themselves. If we're all playing poorly and dropping points all season long then Arsenal could absolutely come out on top.

Should have been given a yellow or a red in our game, but the ref didn't even give a penalty.

How does Medel not being booked prove that La Liga is a joke, I don't really follow?

Arsenal definitely look the team from last year's top 4 in the best shape so far, but then they would with the stability of keeping Wenger, plus the massive shot in the arm of Ozil.

Having seen how City turned it on against us though i'd still make them favourites, just above Chelsea. I'd only make us 5th at the moment, which feels worrying.
Arsenal you can't see dropping out of the top 4, so it's seeing off Tottenham with their £100m funding.

However, I do remember Arsenal starting a couple of seasons back with that ridiculous 8-2 defeat and a bunch of other appalling results, and still getting right up there later on in the year.

They do say it's a long season for a reason! Could well be the best ever for continual upsets

In Spain, if you dont play in the teams of MAdrid (real and atletico) or Barcelona, you get totally different judging.

Medel was bullied by refs in spain since he arrived, and the majority of the bookings he got where total invention.

In a proper league, like the EPL, corruption is not so evident. Players can play football in peace.

ps. i said that he was going to be great here, and he has. For only 10M pounds... Mackay knew as well.

How does Medel being sent off against Sociedad or Rayo in any way help the big teams or reeks of corruption?

Refs in Spain judge players different according to the team they play for. Simple as that.

So for example, if in this next video, Medel was the Barcelona player, he would end up the game. He was not, he didnt finish the game.

another example is the cnut of Diego Lopez... such a dirty player that keeps getting away with it too often.
