A fair few of them seem genuinely terrified, with the idiots genuinely delusional.

This. One more sane Scouser writes:

Some of you are stupidly optimistic, and it wouldn't be so bad if there were any reason for it whatsoever. Any proof that there actually should be some positivity and optimism, but there isn't. At all.

Quite why anyone would think the prospect of going to that shit hole, losing once again to that lot, and not even having a decent cup run in this shitty fecking season to distract you from the absolute piss-stain that is our league season so far, is completely beyond me.

20+ years of having to watch those fecks win everything all the time, and here's another chance for them to stuff us along the way. Can't feel any differently right now. It's all shit all the time, and I'm sick of it.

Than a fecking lunatic replies:

fecking no chance. form gets chucked out the window in these matches and if gerrard is fit for this he always rises god like to carry us not to mention the 10,000 scousers at old trafford carrying the team, this is what football is all about.

:wenger:

Hes always terrible but hes terrible for everyone so hes consistent, he was the twat who refereed us at stamford bridge last season and didnt give us a single decision all game, hes a homer, always has been, easily influenced by the crowd.

The point is yet again the scousers resort to crying over some sort of conspiracy against them whereby every referee who gives a decision against them is corrupt.

Just read some of the stuff in there, laughable.

Well I can't remember what happened last week so I can't remember him fecking us over in the past - not to say he hasn't.

I agree 100% that he is a homer, he gave everything to Spurs simply because they shouted louder.

Well that's just it, isn't it?

Lawrenson, a former Liverpool player (no, seriously), sits there and says that the current Liverpool manager "should be congratulated" for trying to win the game today, but still ended up losing. I mean...I'm losing the abaility to form sentences that can accurately describe the complete despair I feel when I see someone say something like that, I really am.

Before the game, on Sky, it was the Sky panel saying things like "what's a good result for Liverpool today?" and "they'll be happy with a point here" or "they'll take anything". Then after it was Redknapp saying "I thought Liverpool were quite good today to be fair". Then we get Lawrenson saying Hodgson should be CONGRATULATED for having a go.

Liverpool FC. Congratulated for having a go.

feck me, it's like we're a bloody non-league side. My hands seem to be permenantly attached to my face these days. I seem to be constantly sighing and throwing the tv remote. It's like a fecking nightmare that never ends. The Champions of Europe 5 years ago. Runners up 3 years ago. Congratulated for giving it a go.

Where's the fecking rope and stool?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

A fantastic weekend for RAWK. The Great One masterminded a stunning victory over one of the power houses of world football. The Evil One, Woy `Nosferatu” Hodgson and his hoardes of darkness were battered senseless - a loss really can be a win

That 'David Ivor St.Hubbins' guy in the Atkinson thread is hilarious.

It's going into meltdown in the post Channel 5 Cup thread tonight.

They are all slating the performance and calling for Woy's head even though they've qualified.

They have such short memories - don't they remember the negative shite that Rafa had the "Red Men" playing?! Imagine if he was still manager tonight and the result was exactly the same, we'd be reading;

"Poor perfomance but we've qualified - Rafa is a genius etc etc".

fecking nutcases, the lot of them.

It seems to be less fun to trawl Rawk these days.

Last season they're histerically spastics, it was comedy gold, but this season... it seems that they're not spastics, but they really believe in all that Rafa's dark knight, messiah, the one, etc etc.

So vehement it has becoming spooky rather than funny.

They've become like a Rafa worshiping cult over there.

tbf for a big club like them, "having a go" ...

This is what Roy has reduced us to and conned the press into believing is alright. It's Everton in the early 90s all over again. He'll get away with it too if he isn't sacked soon.

Well what else can he do with an average squad, and no money to spend?

 Of course is it. Didn't have you down as one of those who resorted to RAWK-esque cop-outs, B9.

how about not spending most of the money he had on PFK and Poulsen? How about winning an away just once in a blue moon, how about doing even marginally better than he's done with fulham in any of his seasons there. How about a positive goal difference as we approach the halfway of the season.

Hell, I'll even take the smallest of consolations: How about not leaving the pitch after yet another defeat or draw and having the majority of fans having to concede 'in fairness, we were second-best all over the pitch' after playing some lower table rubbish team. How about not smiling after, and then for several weeks celebrating how magnificient we were in our abysmal defeat to our local rivals. How about not celebrating how universally acclaimed we've been for our performance in a match we lost ("I am heartened by the fact we played so well on Sunday, and that has been recognised so universally." - his latest one).

There is so much wrong, in fact most everything, with what Roy has presided over since taking the reigns that there is simply no excuse that can justify the massive and all-pervasive incompetence he's shown so far. Never seen a manager so much out of his depth before.

Rafa Benitez?

You my friend, are either blind or biased towards Rafa.

You cut the first 2 years then Woy > Rafa.

I can't believe how much that 1 CL cup have blinded most of you.

I definitely understand all that, and it would drive me mad if it was happening at my club. But still, Roy been given little to no money, and inherited an extremely average squad...

Until he can overhaul the squad he's only being realistic. There's no way Liverpool can challenged with the players they have currently, other clubs have clearly passed them (Tottenham and City especially) and he'd be a loon if he goes on a Rafa-like boastful claims spree (we WILL finish top four).

It's the supporters that need the mental overhaul. It's not Liverpool's (or anyone's) divine right to be a top side. You have to earn it and work for it.

There's no denying Benitez completely fecked you over and Roy has been left to pick up the pieces and try build on what little he was given. Meanwhile, he's setting the expectations at the right level... For now.

^ True, I cringe when I stuff like the post quoted by AllForone

:wenger: , the champions league 5 years ago ???? So fecking what ?

The problem is with Hodgeson is that every time he opens his mouth his lack of ambition is reiterated. Would Shankly have achieved what he did with "realistic" expectations? feck off he would have.

That's what the worry is for me with Hodgeson, not the results.

They'll be talking about the CL even after 20 years. Thats their only pride.

Wining that CL is possibly the worst thing that could have happened to them expectation / suicide-wise in their declining years

Good lord.
