In all fairness to RAWK, I'd be fuming after that performance from Webb. Look at it from their perspective.

What was wrong with Webb's performance?

I am guessing you are referring to the penalty. I've seen softer penalties given. So have you.

Shouldn't RAWK be fuming about Agger's clumsy and unecessary challenge instead?

I notice very few people read my post properly. It was a nasty challenge, which is a red card, but there's little consistency here. You have to give a red all the time or none of the time, that's all I'm saying.

And sometimes people score while being five yards offside. When even Steven fecking Gerrard got red carded for it then so would anybody else. Unless they were very big and a man to boot of course.

Oh come on. That penalty was a total joke, and if it had been given against your team or mine, we'd both be absolutely apoplectic about it, and rightly.

There's a myth that's often peddled that United get dodgy pens at OT. It's complete shite, but Webb seems to be doing his best to make it true with his last couple of games he's done there. The Clichy one now the Agger one have been strange decisions.

How about the spot kick given yesterday at the Emirates? Yes, the one Fabregas scored from. Very soft penalty! Pot kettle black mate.

I never get wound up by refs.

I've seen softer penalties given against us. The ref was the least guilty of the three involved. Agger the most guilty, Berbatov for being an opportunist.

It was a foul by Agger. Berbatov made the most of it.

Clichy handballed. Handball is illegal in football.

It's a soft penalty alright. One to infuriate any fan from the conceding team but that doesn't mean there wasn't a foul in the first place. This is a very simple contest that many haven't understood so far or do not want to understand.
Whatever we'd feel if we're the victims has got absolutely no bearing on the reality of things.

Alastair, why are you so anti-United in every topic?

I'm really not, I just don't think that was close to being a penalty. If I've come across anti-United in every discussion I've had with you, it's merely a coincidence, but I don't dislike United at all. You've just had a couple of dodgy penalties recently. I'm not saying Arsenal don't, I'm just pointing it out.

When you lose 1-0, a dodgy pen does rather make a difference. It was a poor decision, really poor.
And even if we didn't get the penalty decision, we would have found other ways to score. We had double the shots on target that they did and we would have turned the screw in the second half because there would have been more pressure on us. Because we were 1-0 up against 10 men, I think we somewhat took the foot off the pedal, otherwise we would have battered them even more.

You really are. Your posts are very Scouse-esque in that regard.

Of course it was close to being a penalty. Agger swung at berbatov. Whether the contact made was enough to knock him over is anyones guess, but saying that it wasn't close to being a penlaty is retarded.

I don't deny that you'd have gone on to win the game. I just don't get why you can't see that it wasn't a penalty.

I could list the penalties Arsenal have had which were poor decisions in the last couple of seasons, and I'd be happy to do so. Refs make mistakes. It doesn't make you any less of a United fan if you admit it.

Haha, what a joke of a thread! We're actually ecstatic over on RAWK. You beat us with 12 men against 10 today in yet another joke of a game where the ref decided the outcome but we don't care - Kenny is back. The look on Ferguson's face at the end of the game said it all. LOL!

What did the look on Ferguson's face say?

If the ref decided the game, why didn't he use the opportunity to give another couple of penalties, when he could have?

Kenny is back, so feck. The twisted faced cnut won't save the dirties, he's a bottler.

First it was Benitez, then it was Hicks and Gillette, then it was Woy Hodsgon and now it's Howard Webb.

Liverpool FC has a long history of blaiming anyone but themselves.

Sometimes you have to ask yourself one question:

Is a loss a win?

Sadly no King Kenny, it isn't.

Because, one was enough obviously...

The old "now we've beat these mid table plodders we can concentrate on beating Spurs to push further ahead in the title race" look?

Very telling indeed.

Manchester United- In pole position in the league, still in Europe and the cup.
Liverpool- Proud winners of the guess the expression game circa 2011

Clichy handball, Manchester United-Arsenal

Clichy stopped a square ball with his arm in the area. How is that not a penalty? It doesn't have to be intentional.

Why would Ferguson be worried about Dalglish? He's just beat him, this season we're far out of your reach, and next season Dalglish will probably be an ambassador. I don't think he'll be panicking now about the game at Anfield.

Because, one was enough obviously...

The ref wasn't to know that Liverpool wouldn't be able to score a last minute equiliser.

It was a soft pen. I've seen you lot been handed soft pens too. Was the ref your 12th man in those games?

The fact that you played with 10 men (9 some would claim, seeing as Mrs. Torres never turned up), is only your captain's fault, and no one elses.

Kenny, who began the downfall, is back. Enjoy Europa League you feckwits
