Apparently it's thanks to Rafa that Kenny's back at the helm.
Haha, what a joke of a thread! We're actually ecstatic over on RAWK. You beat us with 12 men against 10 today in yet another joke of a game where the ref decided the outcome but we don't care - Kenny is back. The look on Ferguson's face at the end of the game said it all. LOL!
Webb didn't get much criticism for it, to be fair. This argument is going round in circles now - it was a red card, end of.

Hold on a second. Is the penalty award the only "poor decision" that matters here?
What about the two blatant penalties he DIDN'T award us in the second half?
what penalties?
Giggs for one...perhaps?
I for one have had it up to here with the cup game - honestly no one loves to gloat over a United win over them more than me but christ they don't half know how to moan!! So let me get this straight because I have never got to grips with the finer points of scouse logic.
1. Liverpool, despite being absolutely terrible all season and having had Blackpool, Blackburn and Wolves hand them their arses on a plate (yes those leviathans of world football!) would have beaten the hitherto unbeaten league leaders? A team currently sitting 19 (NINETEEN) points clear of them? Away from home? the sheer confidence displayed by their fans is a clear sign of mental illness.
2. Obviously that is unless they went a goal down? Because lets be clear regardless of whether it was or wasn't a penalty, are you really telling me that the obviously superior team with King Kenny at the helm (yes suspend belief and come with me on this) couldn't find a way to over turn the deficit? of just ONE goal?
3. Ah you say Stevie G got sent off. Well damn Mr. Webb for applying the letter of the law (and justice I might add for his henious elbow that she shamefully got away with the last time they were dispatched from OT). Perhaps Liverpool fans are so used to him getting away with brutal fouls and this is at the heart of their chagrain?
4. Just how did Liverpool expect to win a cup game in which they offered absolutely nothing as an attacking force? and yet these idiots are happy to talk up the influence of cnut Kenny despite the man himself admitting he didn't prepare the team as he didn't have time! Perhaps he had organised an elaborate rope-a-dope tactic that made it look like they were outplayed but really they were just waiting for United to tire?
5. Why are they such bad losers (Babel and Paul Dalglish's classless tweets) when they have had so much practice?
6. Where does the confidence on CK come from? This is a man who inherited a great team and as a result of his incompetence set in train their demise before quitting as he realised he was cronically out of his depth. And THIS is their messiah? An incomprehensible scotchman with a miserable demeanour who is out of touch with contemporary football by over a decade is meant to have everyone running scared? Congratulations LFC, your metamorphosis into Newcastle United is complete.
Sorry for rambling but honestly no one can play the victim like these people. Apparently every time there is a perceived injustice anywhere in the world...a Liverpool fan is born.

Why don't we rename this the "Liverpool General" thread? It's becoming a blight to the forums. I'm saying this as someone who loved this thread last season.
it should remain here as RAWK goes into meltdown, as it does so so very frequently that it's a constant source of amusement to me.Why don't we rename this the "Liverpool General" thread? It's becoming a blight to the forums. I'm saying this as someone who loved this thread last season.
Really? He seemed to be more confused than anguished for the entire match.
All this after a 1-0 defeat. Imagine the outpouring of joy when they actually manage to secure a 0-0 hard fought draw.

It baffles me a lot- i mean when they write about their past glory, Rafa, King Kenny, their “inevitable” come back to the top of English football they always use these cringe-worthy hyperboles, exaggerations, confusing figures of speech in order to evoke feelings as deep as one’s love to his nation or parents. yuck

Seats were broken apparently.
I always thought Webb's childhood team were Liverpool, I've read it somewhere.
Also, wasn't he once caught on camera singing YAWN in a pub with Mike Dean?
Spider Webb said:Howard Webb - I don’t support Man Utd! (Or Liverpool)
The top English referee Howard Webb has denied the tabloid stories that he is a closet Man Utd fan. He was speaking in South Africa where he is one of the nominated referees for the Confederations Cup, and he told FeverPitch what English newspapers write about him being a United fan is ‘crap’.
“I don’t even come from Manchester. If anything I prefer Sheffield United to Manchester because I come from Rotherham which is 10km from Sheffield,” Webb said.
The English press has inferred that Webb is a United fan since he was seen taking a Cristiano Ronaldo jersey as a souvenir.
“Last week I was a Liverpool fan and I don’t know what else they will say I’m a fan of.”
From 2009....
The YAWN article was a NOTW rumour, there was a thread on it here but it was never confirmed, and not really believed either.
That reminds me of the Aquilani banner, good times.
