Talking about walk through Anfield - empty anfield..

My uncle - the man who told me first about mighty reds is a man who knows personaly Slovak most famous referee Lubos Michel. He was the referee that was apointed for Liverpool vs. Chelsea match in the semifinal in 2005 with Luis Garcia goal.. He told him that before the game there was obvioulsy enough time for the referees himself and his two assistants to walk around the stadium and so on.. So they made a walk around and he told my uncle he felt for first time in his life something like never before... He told him he never had this feeling - gosebumps of walking through any stadium, and he was first referee of many big matches... As he was walking he said he had gosebumps and even though the stadium was empty, he told he could feel thousands of supporters as if there was ghosts of people... this is true... So back to the story, if he walks with Torres, and talks to him...it might do wonders... just hope it´s not to late for that...

:lol::lol::lol:

The first thing that ref should have done is to keep hold of his wallet. Scousers Ghosts...

It's true, they are obsessed with dignity, but it's the one thing they seemingly have no understanding of.

That and humility. They're obsessed with that too, and also don't have any of it.

We don't either, in fairness, but we don't pretend to. We're the famous Man United.

Humanity....

How does that even apply to Liverpool, or their fans? Are their fans collective humanitarians? Is there a unified major-humanity-awareness scheme that no-one knows about?

I suppose they sort of apply for sub-humanity? Or maybe they mean to say humility....It makes more sense. Like the kind they showed throughout the 10 defeats this season alone.

They don't mean the same thing. Similar but different qualities.

Wait! There is a way to make Torres stay!

Forgive the random musing, not even sure if it will generate any rational discussion, but it just occurred to me that if the club is still of the view that they want to broker some sort of peace and accord with the player, is there anything else that can be done or is not too far gone? We all saw Parry shuffle into Anfield that June morning with a big grin to the baying Sky mob, and the recent twin *gag reflex* ugly Manc greedy fecking twat sagas are still fresh in the memory.

Yes, I know Torres has a lot of personal respect for Kenny, but is it enough? He is clearly being badly advised by agents etc. especially given the manner of his behaviour and timing of his actions these past few days. And who knows, it may even be that he still has issues with potential peacemakers...?

But still, it leads me to think of the obvious choice of person, someone who helped guide Fernando's career out of an uncomfortable situation at Atletico, and helped develop him into the world class sought-after striker he is today. Someone now removed from any direct agenda as part of the club, and therefore seen as relatively independent.

He's not coming back as manager clearly and rightly, but still loves the club and so there may yet be a crucial role to play as a wise older Spanish counsel to a rash young Spanish head.

A Sunday afternoon in Caldy beckons for Sr. Torres methinks. Nothing to lose after all.

But not everyone's buying it...

What if Torres is considering joining Chelsea because he and Rafa know something we don't?!

They don't mean the same thing. Similar but different qualities.

I think he probably knows that Hectic, except Plech said humility where you read humanity...face palm?

Can you imagine the place if Hodgson was still in charge, selling Torres and trying to replace him with Carroll for 35million?

I had to laugh!

If his agent is telling him to get out of Liverpool I'd hardly call that bad advice. He's wasted enough of his career there.

at least you took it well and showed great humanity there, hectic.

Hmm they think it is a master stroke because he is talented.

Imagine. Just imagine if Hodgson had sanctioned this.

Let's see...

So Scousers are selling one of the best strikers in the world to Chelsea for 50m and signing a half-decent replacement at 70% of the price?

Perhaps they'd like to sell us Reina and we'll sell PIG to them at 70% of the price.

£90 Million net spend more than us. Still we're buying the title.

i bet that doesn't include all the money we spend on bribes. i’d imagine our net spend is far greater than reported.

If Hodgson had sold Torres and brought in Carroll they'd hav gone mental.

RAWK seem to be optimistic about Carroll. Suprise suprise. They think they've signed a good one for the future but still 40 million. :wenger:

Like I said can you imagine the reaction if Hodgson did this deal.
