I don't think the majority of United fans dislike Hughes for that. I'm sure that the vast majority don't dislike Schmeichel either, and if they do they need a bloody good prod. The only thing really comparable to Owen is Paul Ince, but everyone thought that he was a bit of a knob beforehand. I have no animosity towards Paul Ince though, he was just as SAF described him - a big time charlie, he couldn't help it.
