Have they started the email campaign/boycott yet?
No they have blamed Fergie.

Sturridge would have benefited enormously from the fact that defenses were scared shitless of Suarez. Now Sturridge is the main man, it will be interesting to see how he copes. He did not fair too well at the WC. We wont have too long to wait and see what he can do.No, not really. Liverpool scored 101 goals last season. If you take away Suarez's goals they still score more goals than us.
Sturridge himself has been on a pretty consistent goal scoring form. Now that he's the main man up front, and presuming that they are continuing with the swashbuckling style under Breton then it is not that far fetched to consider Sturridge as a potential top scorer.
Thats because, like the previous argument stated, fletcher is not a sexy player. You could argue that but I think the majority of the footballing world would disagree.
The on-going narrative that Sturridge is some imposter passing off as a top striker.
If this was any other striker in another top European league and he had the stats of Sturridge since Jan 2013 he'd be held in really high regard. However, he isn't and the blinkered bias on here has him as some foil for Suarez who was feeding off his scraps and somehow scored a load of goals - and the word average still lingers.
'Flash in the pan', 'lucky streak', 'as good as Welbeck' are just some of the reactions to Sturridge's performances since signing for Liverpool. 'Yeah but he's only done it for 18 months...' This is the best qualification as it is total nonsense in how players are judged in the real world. Players do well for three games and I've seen some on RedCaf go mad over a player, but Sturridge needs to do it for a really long period of time before a reasonable conclusion can be reached.
All a bit odd...
yeah, top striker who's proven nothing in the Champions league, World Cup, etc. He's a very good player and still there is room to go, but we aren't underrating him here, he's just being overrated a tad by Liverpool.Regarding your second paragraph, Sturridge has 11 goals in 16 and 24 from 33, as a comparison, in his start at Newcastle, Andy cole scored 12 in 12 and 41 in 46 yet was never considered a top striker and struggled to maintain his form consistently at united. Without doubt, sturridge has scored good goals and played well, but whether he has done enough yet to be a top striker is debatable.
Sorry, engaging in a debate on a forum. My bad...

Nor is Mascherano.
Yes you are. Since you are unsure of the usage of word "conviction" and how it relates to my point, seen in both cases already. I mean, in my original point I said I was happy to accept that off the back of last season I can see why they would be foaming at the mouth to make him top scorer, which was conveniently ignored.Wonderful. So you went from it being "with conviction" (so quite positive about his chances, which is what most of them are) to some crap about "Life savings" and apparently I'm struggling with comprehension.

Boom... I agree.Pfff, imagine if he was British instead of Argentinian. Defensive midfielder, gritty, likes a tackle, does his best work as a destroyer and shield for the back four... his name would be dirt. Forget the reading of the game, the composure, the distribution from the back... 'typical, any English player who can pass even a bit and suddenly they're world class.' But Argentinian, and everyone gives themselves permission to notice and appreciate all that stuff.
Fletch in 2008 and 2009 was as good as Mascherano has ever been. Few non-United fans will agree, because as aforementioned he's hardly a sexy player, and not one many will have actually paid proper attention to. Wenger's hilarious 'anti football' rant in 09 sums that up.
I'm still stunned that in their "predict the premier lesgue" thread, somebody predicted Raheem Sterling as PFA player of the year as well as the PFA young player of the year.

Young player of the year is a chance, but I'd expect Hazard to have a fine season, Lukaku. To say he'll win PFA player of the year is a bizarre. There's a possibility of that tbh. Sterling is a sterling talent.
That guy also fed him and drew the attention away from him. I'm not convinced he'll be able to shine more than last year. Not really, considering he managed 2nd top behind the guy who has now left the league. Not to mention that guy marginalized him whereas now he'll be the main man up top.

I don't think he will but its not that outrageous a suggestion, he's been in excellent goal scoring form for a while now.
What ? Suarez created chances after chances for Sturridge last season, they had a very good understanding.
Agreeing with this wholeheartedly. Casual banter is impossible with scousers around. They're the most defensive, insecure bunch I've seen in my lifetime. Can't we just threadban the scousers?
When did I say they didn't have a good understanding? They did and the partnership worked. Not sure how you can possibly argue Suarez with his huge amount of goals didn't marginalize Sturridge though. It would've been hard for Sturridge to score many more goals with someone up top taking up a huge share of that.
He'll lose space created from Suarez's creativity and threat but the rest of the team will create more chances for him.
Sturridge was already scoring a lot of goals without Suarez from the start of the season till Suarez finished serving his ban. Sturridge has proved he can score goals without Suarez although having a great partner always helps.
This. This. This. Can't we just threadban the scousers?
I'm not up for banning anyone but they are ruining the fun for us and they will be looking at it as some sort of victory to somehow keep derailing this thread with the pointless defence of their shabby club and shit kick players.This. This. This.
Their wish to defend and discuss everything in this thread is ruining it's purpose.
Yeah, won't discuss further as people don't want debate in this thread but agree Sturridge has proved himself without Suarez in the side.
Eriksen is a spurs fan who's vehemently defending Liverpool in here.
Any psychologists on here that can decipher this weird epic RAWK thread?
