RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

I knew why I clicked the thread.

I think Silva is more reliant on other players. Assists, 1-2s etc.


Whereas Coutinho can comfortably drive through midfield, skipping passed 3/4 players. When Coutinho gets the consistency to his game, he'll blow Silva out of the water, in my opinion. Coutinho can play the nice football Silva does, and can play the through balls that Silva does, but can also go solo with the ball at feet.

Is there a better footballer to watch in our league than Coutinho when he's on it?

Skillful as anyone out there and the vision with the ability to pick that pass too.

I've posted often that he should simply regard any opposition players as inferior and just stroll past them - he's that good.

Unlike the childish Mancs and Arses, RAWKites keep their hair on after a good pre-season game ...
I was hoping for something like this to be happening a year ago, brasilian style football in Liverpool and overall there is only one guy responsible for this... Brendan Rodgers.

Always two steps ahead of what people thinking would be the next issue, at the moment he is probably planning on how to handle the year after our first PL win in ages, after performances like this, I wouldn't be suprised this to be the very next one.

Even if Liverpool were playing "brasilian style football", how would Brenton be solely responsible for it? Or is Country Antrim exotic enough for the average RAWKer to confuse it with the streets of São Paulo?

The last two are rubbish posts but I do think the bit about Silva is true. Obviously te assists side of it is all speculation but he does have more strings to his bow. Coutinho is bloody brilliant and it pains me that he plays for them.

It still hurts them that 08/09 season.. They were a quality side, and posed their biggest threat in years at home and in Europe and we still beat them to it. The 18th :D

Loved that season.. Macheda arriving to break the scouse hearts and then just fading away into a championship player.

He is indeed a good player, but he has yet to achieve the level of Silva. Both excellent footballers.

Certainly consistency wise and statistically he's not at Silva's level yet but he has the potential which is what they were saying. They were correct in saying he can play the same style as Silva but can also just ghost past several players and drive forward if they need him to which is something Silva will never be able to do.

I actually do think that Silva ghosts past players. I have seen it many times especially against us, even in his Valencia days.
I get where they are coming from, but like you say, he needs consistency to be at Silva's level. Also, it did take Silva a season to used to EPL, he wasn't brilliant day 1.
 
Have they expressed outrage yet at the bookmakers having the temerity to make them longer odds to win the league than us?

After the Arsenal away FA cup game I swore that I was finished with footie until that c@nt Webb retired or died. I suppose retirement is an acceptable 2nd.
