Is he a right winger? I know it says he is on transfermarkt, but most of his highlights on youtube have him positioned either centrally or on the left, scoring goals with his right foot.

If we don't Martial will be double teamed all of the time just like last season. I don't get the need for one wing to essentially be a dead zone, this defensive winger shit is backwards and needs to die. Plus we are adding a 35 year old striker who thrives on pace flanking him either side.
I'd agree. But I'd expect Jose to get a solid RB in place before he spends serious money on a right winger.
Rooney is the sticking point. he may be played as a 10, out wide, up top if no Zlatan, deeper. We don't know.
I'm sure there's a plan. There are far better right wingers than Rooney available. There are far better 10's available too.
I think we'll spend a fortune on one marquee player. Rooney will end up playing wherever we don't invest money.
Jose can use Valencia or Darmian as the RB or even Bailly, all are more about the defensive side than the attack, but using the actual wing spot for anything but a proper attacker is the kind of negative move that brought the question marks about him as our manager to begin with. At Real Madrid he had Di Maria and Ronaldo on the wings, Di Maria did a lot of work but it didn't hinder his attacking game.
Rooney is definitely an issue, wherever we stick him that position will be a weak spot and make the team less than it could be.
Unpopular opinion but I personally thinks that Darmian has very similar attributes to Azpilicueta and can actually thrive as Jose's RB.I'd agree. But I'd expect Jose to get a solid RB in place before he spends serious money on a right winger.

I am sure he'd get a kick out of it but I don't think we have even been linked with him, Ounas and the Mexican kid are the only 2 wide players we've been linked with in the last few weeks.
We hadn't been linked with bailly either. I just can't help but feeling that his attributes make him a perfect mou player, he would potentially satisfy the marquee thing that woody is after so badly and his contract situation means that he is begging for someone to come get him. If we could get him quick then it may also make don't mind more reluctant to sell auba to for example city. Which we do not want at all.
I think Arda would cost more than he is worth
3+ top years. OMG. Glad you're not in charge. He's nearly 30. We need to learn our lessons. Making the same mistakes over and over is just NUTS.Barca paid about 35m euros, I am sure they would accept the same. 35m euros for 3+ years of top service from him would be worth it. We can't just have a team of 18-23 year olds, need some experienced heads in there as well.
He is also very grafty when it comes to the defensive side. I remember him for Atletico, he was a real grafter with moments of brilliance.

Mkhitaryans a de bruyne type assist machine from what I can see which would be good because we don't create enough. Martial will already get a stackload from the left with the right players around himI'm not sure Mkhitaryan is all the great tbh. He's not really an out and out winger and while he's had a fantastic year I'm just not sure he's really what we need. I'd much rather get a wide forward player like Mahrez who I think could net 20 goals in a good team. Sane would also be a better option just for his additional pace and similar dribbling threat to Martial on the left. I can't help feel that Dortmunds good year has screwed all their player stats to a higher level this year than they would achieve elsewhere.
Mkhitaryan should be played at #10, or even #8. A waste to play him on the wing; he'd be worse than most pure wingers. Played through the middle he scores goals too with his long distance shots and one-twos allowing him to finish in the box; he also does a lot of through balls, lobs over the defence, etc. for his assists. Put him on the wing and I bet he'll spend the whole match trying to cut inside, which is not really any good when you have Zlatan and Martial waiting for a cross.Mkhitaryans a de bruyne type assist machine
I hope most of us have seen enough of Chelsea to gather an opinion.I spoke to my mate Chelsea fans about Willian the other day. He thinks Willian isn't a top class player and he wouldnt mind to sell him to us. He thinks that his decision making is so poor all he does is trying to beat players, he has no vision and the ability to know when he needs to pass the ball to his team mate.

Feghouli is very very inconsistent. His playing style is somewhere between Young and Valencia. He has good pace and works hard but end product is not as good as Young. Overall he would not be an upgrade on Young or Valencia. Mina is better than Feghouli and younger too but he is not ready to play for a team who wants to compete for titles yet. Iñaki is very fast and has good acceleration but doesn't depend on his physical attributes, he is intelligent, team player, can pick a good pass or dribble but i don't think he will leave right now. Some names to throw; Felipe Anderson, Bernardeschi, Inaki Williams, Bellarabi, Mina, Feghouli, Lucas Moura, Bernardo Silva, Berardi who are all pretty attainable (if we don't get Champions League football) unlike the Bale's and Griezmann's of the transfer market.

I genuinely think Mourinho will go for Gareth Bale.
United will probably give him over £100m to play with to help create his own title challenging team. Add in potential sales of Mata, Fellaini, Memphis, Blind etc, he could easily be spending £200m+ if he chose to.
Ibrahimovic will be a free. Bailly probably only worked out at about £15m up front. He might spend close to £30m on a midfielder such as Kante. So he'll have plenty left over to slash the cash on Bale
Yes but I didn't say I thought we'd get him, just go for him. Similar to Ramos last season.Ehhh, Mourinho may "go for" Messi. That doesn't mean he is attainable.
Bale has won two UCL in three years in Madrid, is on huge wages, has leveraged his time there into massive endorsement income, and is still poised to assume a bigger role in the team whenever Ronaldo fades or walks away. You're not going to turn his head very easily. And Madrid has no incentive to sell, especially with a potential transfer ban in the future.

I think he will be the "balls in" United target this season. But more likely United will end up with someone else.
