His first goal for United was from a free kick. It will happen again

Headed in from a cross also counts. Put your childs tuition fund on it.

I hate threads like this

'Why doesn't Ronaldo score free kicks anymore?'

If I had to put a bet on, I’d bet he scores from a penalty. But who knows.

Unpopular opinion: Ronaldo won’t score a single goal from a direct free kick this season. He’s worse at them than people think.

I think his first goal will be an header… he’s become so lethal in the box now, he out jumps everyone, I can see him getting 10+ Headed goals this season, Luke shaw to get a few assist from them.

He still does score two or three a season. I think what most people don't realise was that the amount of free kicks he scored in 07/08 was a bit of an outlier in his career. I think he's only speed more than five twice: in 07/08 and in his first season at Real in 09/10 (This is off the top of my head, so I potentially stand to be corrected).

I hope he scores a hatrick but more importantly

He only scored one for Juventus and that was in 19/20 against Torino and the last season he scored three was 2016/17 in La liga. He did score one in the world club final against Gremio in 2017/18

Yes and also factor in that our set pieces have been amazing this season

I'm counting club and country, just to clarify. He's scored quite a few free kicks for Portugal in the last couple of years.

I'll buy you a beer if he scores a freekick. You would deserve it hahah

Hope he scores with his penis again. On the pitch I mean. By scoring a goal.

Mfw it happens =)

Mfw when, after it happens, I remember this thread =O

Y'all are too cautious. He'll score one from a bicycle kick and the other one will be a header.

He will score 1 header, 1 tap in, and 1 penalty and people will complain he did nothing apart from scoring goals.

Think he's scored one in his last 70 attempts. I suppose an optimist might say he's due one.

Thus far we've had, like, 16 topics about him in which people claimed he'll bring us the title, surpass Wazza's record, score more than 10 header goals ; on Saturday he'll score a hat-trick, from the penalty spot, from a free kick, and what not.
With that much jinxing he'll probably have the worst game of his career against Newcastle

I hope you're right but I wonder is his free kicking ability even anything special anymore or do we have better options? Genuine question.

I saw a goals compilation from his last season at Juventus and I was really impressed. He has still got twinkle toes. Pretty sure his medical at Juve said he was about 10 years younger in 'body age' than his actually age. I know its not the same old Ronaldo but I have no doubt he will be banging goals in this season and will raise the team as a whole.

Either way, I am fully onboard with the romantic return of the legend.

I can't find an option to delete that first message. Sorry guys.
