Red Devil 26
Premature Examination
A very random bump. But I was wondering what is considered to be Giggsy's best season at the club?

.........henrywinter Slightly forgotten amidst the St James' chaos was an #mufc landmark. Ryan Giggs' 757th start, breaking Bobby Charlton's record. Kudos
Giggs aims to play on
Ryan Giggs has admitted he plans to stay at United for at least another season.
The veteran midfielder continues to shine despite reaching the ripe old age of 38 and remains a vital cog in the Reds' machine.
In an exclusive in-depth interview in the latest edition of Inside United, the club's official magazine, Giggs confirms he is keen to prolong his glittering career.
When asked if the aim is to play on beyond May, the former Wales international replied: "Yeah, it is at the moment. We'll sit down pretty soon and see what we want to do but, at the moment, I feel good and I want to carry on."
The prospect of playing into his forties brought a laugh and the response: "Now that one's a question! You can't see it but we'll see.
"When that changes [having a big influence on the pitch], then that's when I'll want to stop.
"But I feel like I'm still an influence on and off the pitch so I'll carry on."
Sir Alex, also speaking exclusively to Inside United, confirmed that another new deal is in the pipeline.
"We certainly hope so, yes," he replied when asked if Giggs can carry on for another year. "There has been no discernable detrioration in his play whatsoever and, in that sense, why shouldn't he stay on another year?
"Obviously, it's entirely up to Ryan himself but I don't see any reason why he can't continue."
The thing is his pace hasn't really left him. He's nowhere near as quick as he was, but he's not particularly slow for a top-level pro, and on the ball he's quicker than many.

Right. Er, is he quick or slow then? You seem to disagree with yourself here...
In the Liverpool game, I noticed him thinking about taking players on and then thinking better of it - first time I've noticed it and to me a sign he doesn't trust his pace as much as he has done.

There's newbies complaining that we haven't moved Giggs on...mental, eh? Only two players in the top 6 have more PL assists than him this season, one of which is from our team, and people still can't see past the fact he's 38.
How on earth does he manage to be this good at his age?
How on earth does he manage to be this good at his age?
He was really sloppy today but was still probably our most positive attacking player, and came up with a peach of a cross for the moral winner
His work-rate was also fantastic, made a few tackles today
I dont think its sloppiness as such its just the way he plays trying to open things up but you take that for what he brings to the team. He's very creative, its a bit like I said in the other thread he's very simular to Rooney, they are never going to have passing stats like Scholes or Carrick because they constantly try to create chances for the team.
On Giggs it is amazing he's playing that well at his age its like all that exeprience has turned a world class winger into really excelllent central midfeilder although obviously we have to pick and choose his games. I can see him playing a simular role next year too its such a bonus to have.
I absolutely agree with you, Giggs gives the ball away a fair bit - and is expected to by the staff - because he actually tries things that aren't obvious.
But in the first half I thought he gave it away a bit too much.
