SL Benfica vs. Manchester United

Good on Fergie, unless I'm mistaken that's Kenny's daughter who is the interviewer.

nosferatu had a good game for them.

the opposition were not bolton nor arsenal - hey these guys do not like to lose - shit we were shite

To be Frank, yes they are. If we had played the same 11 as we did against Bolton we would have won comfortably.

Interviewer asked him if anders' performance created a difficult selection decision for the weekend.

He told her he couldn't understand why he's always asked these stupid questions, like they're fishing for quotes!

The keeper performed well, and that would generally cause a selection decision, he's obviously just pissed that Gabriel Clarke didn't do the interview!

It was a stupid fecking question but typical of the media who want De Gea out of the team so they can brand him a flop. Bloody annoying how the press want him to fail.

Thought it was a little unnecessary from SAF that imo. The kind of thing that in everyday normal life would be seen as rude. It was a perfectly reasonable, and natural question from an interviewer.

I think Clarke got a mini-hairdryer from SAF after the CL loss, that is maybe why they got someone else to do the interview. Might as well have Keano doing it next time, it would be far more entertaining.

Yeah same tbh. Although I thought that he took the question as anti De Gea rather than Pro Lindegaaard.

True, but he's a law unto himself. He's had a lifetime of being misquoted, so he's probably a bit weary.

To be fair every interview I see these days he gets asked a leading question about the goalkeeping situation, she asked him why De Gea wasn't playing in the prematch interview aswell.

Actually this might explain why Fergie was angry at her

SAF told same reporter BEFORE the game of intention to REST De Gea. Is that supposed to change 90 mins later?

Yeah, of course, I'm not remotely bothered by him doing it. But the kind of "yeah, you go Fergie, bully a young female interviewer!!" reactions it tends to instigate in fans are a little, well, odd.

Fans.

Yep. Ferguson already cleared up the keeper situation prior to the match. The question after the match was an attempt to create a headline. I can understand why SAF bristled with indignation. He's sent a message out that he fully trusts his young keeper - class man management.

It's not that she's a woman. It's that she's a Dalglish relative. Also, we've laughed at many a male reporter being flamed. It's standard Fergie procedure.

Indeed. But I hate football fans. They're generally twats.

fergie is the bollux - and what he does is ok by me

Especially this bell end.

Overall a solid point considering they were the better team for the bulk of the match. We were very ponderous at times and spread way too far out, Rooney spent most of the game hunting lost causes and looking frustratedly isolated.

I thought Ando and Hernandez should have came on at half time.

Unfortunately not all the squad is up to speed, and hence our early season fluid attacking football was not to be seen. Hopefully we will see personnel re-instated on sunday and normal service resumed

Glad he said it. Sick of how tabloid sky have become. Always pushing to try and get a scoop out of a non event.

Is that all?
He was relaxed and just said what he was thinking.
Bah. I was expecting far worse
