Guess.Where did you find/hear that?
Guess.
I hope he doesn't go to Villa to be honest. I'm one of those who'd like to see him at United some day, depending on how he does in the next 2-3 years so I'm interested to see how he'll take Molde forward after winning the title, and to see how he can adapt to European competition (Molde get in at the 2nd Qualifying Stage of the UCL because they won the league).
He needs a job where the fans will back him from day 1. Villa is almost the complete opposite.
I would love to see this happen. Have two or three successful seasons with Villa and then become the manager at Manchester United for 25 or so years.
It's all planned out
I'd also like to see him manage United someday but I don't see him going to Villa as being a barrier to that. Sure he won't get to manage in Europe but the new Wolves manager has Champions League experience too (did ok against Barca too) but, with all the goodwill in the world towards Molde, at that level does it mean much?
If Ole were to get a crack at Villa or any of the historically fairly strong sides in England or the major European leagues I think it'd be much better training for one day taking over at Old Trafford. I'm excited by this news.
Indeed. Another great challenge at Molde that is similar to United, is to defend the trophy while simultaneously developing the youth he brings in. It must be brilliant for OGS to see Angan being the current top scorer, an incredibly wasteful and raw striker that he himself brought in. The idea that Villa is a bigger opportunity and challenge just because it's in the PL is a bit simplistic.Yeah I understand the argument that Premier League experience (especially at a club with Villa's support base and history) would be beneficial if he were to take over here, also he'd be working in a bigger league where the pressure is higher which is obviously something he should experience. I just think that maybe for now staying at Molde would be a better measure of his ability to manage a club like United in the long term.
I'd like to see how he takes the club forward now that he's achieved some initial domestic success and implemented his own style of play, coaching and youth development. Also, the experience of defending a domestic league whilst juggling a domestic cup and a European competition is something he wouldn't get at a club like Villa and it'd be interesting to see how well he can deal with that both tactically and in terms of squad management. Ultimately I just think that maybe the challenge of staying at Molde for another season or two would be more akin to that of managing United than the experience of managing a club like Villa would be.

Nice. Simplistic post to illustrate my point. But true
