Southampton vs. Manchester United

Just think if we didn't have Rooney this week would you have felt fine selecting a team without RvP in the squad?

With the rest of that attacking force?

Yes, I think a Hernandez Wellbeck pair in front of that midfield would be fine against southampton.

But having Van Persie is obviously better.

FFS. Yes you could occasionally fault Fergie for tactical weirdness but when it comes to man management? He's best in the bloody business when it comes to that.

He's 20 ffs. If Sir Alex wanted a keeper who wont make any mistakes, he should have gone for a Brad Friedel.

With the same rationale, why does Welbeck get a start? Young and learning, makes mistakes.

Because a goalkeeper making a mistake costs a goal, top keepers do not make many mistakes.

Welbeck was dropped against Fulham, Young has now been dropped too so what is your point?

What's the point of having an excellent squad if the majority are undroppable? I say players on form get the nod, let's see what the reaction is like.

White kit looks very nice.

Neville on commentary, finally someone who doesn't hate us. Come on Utd!!

Well they obviously do, considering Cech, Reina, Valdes, Casillas and Neuer do it on quite a regular basis.

I think Fergie's being a bit over the top. Nani, Rooney, Welbeck and Scholes dropped after the first match. DDG, despite probably being our best player this season, dropped for one mistake.

That's the story of his life and despite his age and what he has achieved, his attitude is never-changing. You bit the bullet and you move on. He has done so his entire life and the least he expects from his players is that the players do so too.

Very weird man-management. I know "Fergie knows best etc." but this really surprises me.

Also, DdG is in my fantasy team, so that's that.

Right, let's focus on smashing Southampton now please.

Oh dammit, I just realised he's in mine as well. I suppose he can't lose me points, but it seems a harsh decision.

Stadium was empty last week

Only here to see United.

And De Gea does?

Young is injured. A 3rd choice striker not starting a game where the team plays only 1 striker isnt really "dropped".

Can understand people being a bit touchy about DDG/Nanis exclusion but why are people bothered about Anderson not even on the bench? The boys not lived up to expectations, hes simply not good enough to start for United. End of.

Yeah I probably worded it in the wrong way.

Weird to see RVP hugging Rio LOL:D

Expecting Valencia to torture Fox as he's not the quickest.
