Spurs vs Manchester United

King being out is not necessarily a good thing for us. He's missed 8 games, and Spurs have kept 5 clean sheets in those games. Having said that, I think Gardner played most of those games - certainly Davenport didn't.

Tempting fate here but we've never had huge problems containing Defoe, or Keane for that matter, quick sharp players off the ball but our defence has always had the pace and awareness to keep hold of them. Defoe always seem to be outmuscled when he comes up against us.

The major problem is in midfield in my opinion, and getting hold of the game. We need to get close and not give Carrick too much time on the ball.

I reckon Ronnie might have some extra space down their left/our right today with Davids tucking in and all that.

Come on United!

That's your team or THE team?

Can't see Carrick as the dangerman. Keane could cause us problems. Actually wish we had Saha today because his mobility would be good against Davenport.

Agreed Id have prefered Saha up top, I presume hes still injured, but on the bench?

Carrick can dictate the pace of the game if we dont get close to him, I think. Cant allow that to happen.

Not sure about Keane myself, I think his finishing is a bit erratic, Rio knows his game as well, I think we'll deal with him alright (foot in mouth time).

Not sure if Saha made the bench. It had fecking Evra on it - with Heinze, Brown and Howard. Can't remember who the other sub was.

Nice attacking bench.

Ole?

They have cloned Evra he's now called Evra-Evra and takes 2 places on the bench to the delight of N7.

Thanks. Finally.

That's another point that I'll add to my moan-about-Evra thread. He takes up another position on our bench, therefore further limiting our attacking options.

Poor Ole, missing out on a place for a player that stands no chance of getting on the field.

Agree.

Pique stayed and we've got 8 defenders in front of him, why not Rossi?

They both should have stayed.

That's good. That Saha's fit enough to be on the bench.

It's pretty fecking stupid to have two left-backs on the bench. Or rather one left-or-centre back, and one left-back. Or rather one left-or-centre back, and one postman.

fecking class  One of my favourite ever.

Classic match. Beautiful. Spurs fans texting me at half time, 3-0 up gloating. Not so happy at the finish...

Hopefully no midfielder will be injured, pretty weak bench in terms of attacking play

Exactly, we'd have to play either Evra on the left wing and bring Park central or play Rio in central midfield again. :nervous:

Hopefully we will be 3-0 up 20 mins before full time to give Gaby a run out, would love to see him on the pitch again
