I expect this to be tough. Would probably take a draw, but the win is sooooo important. If these United players are the men we think they are, 1-0 or 2-0 to us.

A draw means extra time ahead of the West Ham game at 3pm on Saturday, so hopefully we can get it done in 90 minutes.

I actually had no idea he was 6ft5. He doesn't look it.

Then again, allegedly Phil Jones is only 5ft11, which seems wrong to me, as he looks massive.

He's more like 6ft4 - about the same height as Rio I think, slightly taller.

ESPN soccer net has Phil Jones on 6ft2, but most other websited quote him at 6ft or as you say 5ft11. Odd as that is a massive gap.

We've talked about it for years....Speculated what it would be like....We never thought it would happen.

Now it has happened, you just don't know what to say

This calls for Jones.

That's a stronger team than I expected.
Probably playing a 4-3-3 or is it Anderson in the no10 position?

I like it, but it's hard to see where the goals will come from. Hopefully we've got the likes of Rooney, Hernandez, Nani, Januzaj, Kagawa, Giggs on the bench to make something happen if we struggle to create chances.

Danny fecking Welbeck

Danny got this.

Quite like the look of a 3 man midfield, it's something I think we need to use this season, and perfect time to start Danny up front again. Not a fan of playing Evra in this competition because he's shown signs of being tired this season already and this is a hectic month and we badly need as many wins in the league as possible. I really hope that means we will be signing another full back in January.

Valencia, Welbeck, Young... not a front three that screams goals. Stoke are quite crap though so we should nick this.

It's a front three that's full of pace though. Valencia, if can continue his form, will make mince meat out of their left back.

Who is the mole in our squad?

It's an interesting one. I read in the papers that Moyes wasn't happy that the last five lineups (six including this) had been leaked beforehand via twitter, so leaves it late before telling the team who plays.

Strong lineup. Surprised Evra starts and not Buttner.

David McDonnell knows the team always as the first person. 30 minutes before everyone else.

Don't really understand why Patrice is starting this game?
He needs a rest.

#scfc Starting XI vs Man Utd: Sorensen; Cameron, Shawcross (c), Wilson, Pieters; Walters, Palacios, Ireland, Whelan, Assaidi; Crouch

Think apart from GK, that's almost a first choice Stoke City team.
