Difficult to gauge how to rest/rotate players during the next couple of matches, got to very difficult away games now. If fit, Rio and Van der Sar needs to be back at least. Kuszczak was a disgrace today. Nani will probably get a start as well.

Bags of energy through the middle of the pitch to cover ground for 90mins, pace and penetration up front, a good tall back 4 to mop up if Sunderland start lobbing loads of balls into the box and finally some good options on the bench to mix things up if necessary.

I would have felt more comfortable if the two games over the Crimbo period were at home, and not away.
 
Sunderland (Away) wont be easy, they lost their last game so they will be up for the challenge, hopefully we can get some goals early and kill the game as soon as possible.

Hargreaves and Rio to return. VDS is injured until the new year.
