Van Der Sar - Couldn't do anything about their three goals 7

O Shea - More like O Shit, am I right? 3
Vidic -
Evans - Was really good, one of our best players (except when he was outmuscled at those 2 corners) 8
Evra -

Nani - Inconsistent. Perfect example of why he shouldn't be given the number 7 shirt. Game passed him by. Nice brace and assist though. 6
Fletcher - Amazing. Fantastic. Roy Keane. 5 (completed passes)
Carrick - Evans face. 5
Park - Shit, no point to him, woulnd't even get a game for Grays Athletic. Nice goal though. 4

Berbatov - Useless, doesn't run at all. Nice goal though. 3
Owen - Get rid, is preventing Rhain Davis from playing. 3

Since his injury he has played three matches for the reserves, one alongside Bebe, one in the Ozil role and one as a lone striker. He was great in the Ozil role and this really renewed my hope - a newbie pocco made some great points - but I was dissapointed by him as the lone striker however he was isolated for a lot of the match. I would give him 7/10, 8/10 and 5/10 in these matches.

He was good in pre season and is looking much stronger. Fergie didn't even take him to Valencia and this is really dissapointing. He is now fixed in the deadly category of a reserve player who should be in the first team, and where if he doesn't score 3 goals every game, he is said to be not impressing by the majority of posters. Tosic was the same, we are not developing these players, we are simply locking them in the reserves.

The point I made about the 3pm Saturday kickoff increasing Bebe's chances of starting was maybe a bit strange, and after thinking, I think this was not really a good reason.

I can't see Anderson starting two games in a week after his injury lay off. Pity as I think Fletcher deserves a rest. I'd play Park in such a tricky away game and rest Evra for JOS.

We generally have a good record here so I think we should be in a good position to take all three points. Not fussed who Berba's partner is on the day, you can make a good case for all three.
 
Just got corporate tickets for this, can't wait. I'd much prefer to be with the United fans. I'm not much of a shirt and tie person, especially for games.

i have been in the corporate section several times (i knew someone with season tickets) and i never wore a shirt and tie, always wore a jersey and utd scarf and i was the only fecker singing, dont be like them and wear a shirt and tie, show them how its done, go as a regular fan and sing your heart out

No he's in that category of player being overhyped by you.

I actually didn't think he had that great a preseason, Welbeck and Cleverley were more impressive in wide positions.

If SAF thinks he is good enough, he will be in in the first team squad. To suggest we are not developing these players is ridiculous. Tosic left a far better player than he joined despite the lack of first team opportunities.

Owen might get the nod today. I feel if we can keep a clean sheet we will win the game. I hope rio plays .. He brought some much needed stability back To the defence.
Carrick and fletcher I'd say will be the midfield pair..

Agree. Rather than feel sorry for Obertan it is more about having respect for the patience MU has to help players recover. I don't think he's being blown off, they are making sure he's fit.
 
You can't throw Obertan or Bebe into midfield at Sunderland so unless Fletcher/Anderson are playing wide, Park should start. Owen deserves to start over Hernandez also.

The option is play an out of form Park on the left or try something different, Obertan has looked very good for the Reserves as a creative player, I think he should be given a chance. Javi just scored a vital goal away to the best team in our group, he was barely on the pitch 15mins and he also hit the post.

Owen got 3 goals in 1.25 games. Hernandez has looked lost when starting, he is better off the bench for now.

Fergie would be crazy to start Obertan away with Nani on the other flank unless we played 451.
