Sunderland vs. Manchester United

Yeah we really fcked up on Fergies watch.

Only 5 titles out of the last 7 he contested and one of the two he lost was in the last kick of the season.

The only thing one can blame Sir Alex for is he chose the wrong person to take over. :(

The problem with Cleverley is that Ferguson raves about him. The amount of times Fergie gave interviews outlining the talented youngsters we have who have world-class potential and he'd lob Cleverley's name in there with De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Welbeck, etc.

It truly is a wonder of the modern world.

The guy is a coward as well as a shit footballer. Stands there and lets Vidic and Evans run past him with the ball as they take it upon themselves to try and us create something. He should be demanding the ball off them saying "i'm the fecking midfielder, give it here and get the feck back in defence". But he doesn't, he says nothing and lets them run on with the ball while he stands there like a spare part. Coward.

Can't believe us at the moment, so slow and sluggish breaking forward. Cleverley is awful, Adnan looking good but we need more players supporting Welbeck. We'll win this.

You've not been watching how things have been going for us recently, have you? Every match is an action replay of the last. You can consider yourself very unlucky that your lot were the one team we actually didn't give a sucker-punch goal away to and then shit ourselves.

Maybe I'm wrong but tonight I've seen you try to play through the middle more, and when you do cross, you've cut it back and tried to add more variation. I might be being a little over positive but it's how I've seen it.

It's only right & fair that Moyes gave last season's winners a decent chance...but they're letting him down very badly, and (hopefully) he'll know what to do in the next transfer window or so.

He's been our best defender this year FFS

And on 2011-2012. And was very good last season. But one mistake - which wasn't even a mistake - and he will get haunted by the demons from the past. Or by the myth that he isn't good. That was so five years ago, and it was because he was young.

He cant get rid of them all! He has to get more out of what he has.

Don't worry - we will sign Koke and coentrao in Jan, with rvp, jones and rooney to come back - we will go on an unbeaten in the league and win the CL.

We just don't have the ability to score goals these days. Teams are quite happy to give us the lion share of possession because they know we won't be doing anything with it.

Pimpy has been thread banned, no point responding to his earlier posts.

We've still got the second leg at old trafford if things don't work out here right guys! :nervous:

At least the rate Pimpy is going in the demote thread, no-one will have to put up with him in these threads again.

Does that mean we all have to change our votes from The Mitcher now...

On-topic, we have done well to be honest, but we lack that killing instinct in the final third. If Giggs hadn't been offside, if Giggs hadn't hit the crossbar, if Januzaj's shot hadn't been blocked in the box, then we might have been comfortably ahead. We are losing to an own goal and not a beautifully crafted goal. We have the personnel to get us back on track and I know that Moyes will make the right changes. The first change needed is obviously Cleverley.

No you're right, we've been fine. But we have in most of the matches we've lost this season. It's the same over and over - edge the play, without managing to create any great chances, then concede a soft goal.

100%

Am I the only who doesn't even get annoyed anymore? This has become quite the norm now.

I was laughing when we had that five minute spell of just giving the ball away, I found Giggs passing it without looking and moaning at Welbeck very amusing. I still get annoyed when it's in the league, I don't care about the cups. The worrying thing is bar a set piece or a defensive error I don't see us ever scoring, when was the last time we scored a goal that was due to outstanding passing, interchanging and team play? At the moment we're just a better than average premiership team who have a tendency of making massive defensive cock-ups. We're so easy to play against.

The United fans there have been great. Come on!

Put fletcher on for cleverley, it's not like cleverley has some sort of creativity we'll lose. At least we know he'll give 100% no matter what as well.

Valencia is so disappointing. He checks inside and actually beats his man, but because he has no left foot he ends up passing it back to Cleverley or Carrick hanging around near the halfway line.

I'm finding it hard to believe there isn't a central midfielder available or gettable in this window that would instantly be an upgrade over Cleverley, it would be a long list.
