Swansea City vs. Manchester United

I'd just like the senior players to set an example to the younger ones via their performances & attitudes, rather than the other way 'round.

Well, we had one corner...and happened in the 87 minute. The game itself wasn't the most boring we've had this season, but for all the attacking intent there were very few chances to speak of.

The spark has been missing for a good few games now and I think having Rooney play so deep and our lack of good wing play has a lot to do with it. People might say the 6-1 hammering was a one off, but i think it has made us a lot more gun shy.

Good! We needed to become a lot more gun shy. Praise the lord that Carrick is back. A midfielder who can defend and who actually wants to defend!

Good 3 points but feck me that was hard to watch at times. I'd like to think we were in control of that game, but there was a spell in the second half that for about 15-20 minutes we couldnt string 3-4 passes together.

As has been mentioned the defence looked very solid, and Carrick had a good game. It looked like we had a much better shape with him infront of the back four. However the front 5 didnt play well at all and didnt seem to be on the same wavelength at all. Park did nothin but fall over, and Nani had an absolute shocker. Rooney and Giggs ball retention was very poor.

5 clean sheets in a row since the City game is definately a positive, but hopefully the return of Rafael, Young, Welbeck etc can help get us back to the freeflowing play of the start of the season.

It was the sort of performance that the pundits like to call professional. It was ok in parts and very average in others. Swansea were very deep in the first half which made it hard but I thought we should have been able to capitalize in the second and put the game to bed but we have lost that spark in attack. Fortunately Swansea are not blessed with a huge goal threat as they got down the sides of us a number of times but they never had anyone in the box.

I certainly think we need to turn the dial to the defensive side if we're going to play 2 strikers, if I take your meaning.

We should all remember what a difficult time we had on the road last year, any win away should be exciting.

Anyone else who went think the atmosphere in our end was very much below par yesterday? First away I've been to in ages that I can say we were comprehensively outsung by the home crowd.

I know they had the first year in the Premiership thing going on, but just surprised me a bit to be honest. Just watched it back on TV, didn't really come across though.
