The Championship 2018/19 - Play-off final

If they come back I hope they don't do Fulham and buy 132 unnecessary players. It's brilliant what Bielsa can get out of this squad. Coaching is so underrated.

I see Carson is still cocking up like he did at Wembley in 2007 against Croatia.
Leeds are gonna win the Championship though.

Championship is a criminally under rated league for entertainment and quality of football

It's probably top 10 in the world imo. I think the average quality is comparable to that of say Eredivisie. There are 2-3 teams in Eredivisie that are better than the best teams in Championship but the overall quality of the latter is arguably similar, if not better.

Of course it's not illegal, I'm not expecting him to be arrested!

If spying on another side's training session is not "bringing the game into disrepute" then I don't know what is.

Jose was as shady as feck, I would never deny that.

Not sure if AVB ever crawled on his hands and knees with pliers to break through a fence though!

Knob. Neither did the Leeds guy.

Lampard said he did. He might be lying I guess but I'm more inclined to believe him than you, for no other reason than he's never called me a knob.

"For me, it's not right," he told BBC Radio 5 live. "I'm a big fan from afar of Bielsa, I've got his book at home in my front room, but that's slightly clouded it for me today.

"I've never heard of going to a training ground on your hands and knees with pliers trying to break into private land to watch.

Derby will forever be in the championship playoff positions. Idk what we have to do to get to the next level.

The team 2-3 years ago with Hughes and Hendrick was the best shot. Lost out to QPR. Failed to properly invest in that set of players.

I’m sure if Lampard was here he’d call you a knob too.

He’s making excuses for his team losing and was talking bollocks as are you. Thankfully the police know the score.

“Officers were called at around 11.20am on Thursday, January 10 to reports of a man acting suspiciously on Morley Road, Derby.

A man was found at the perimeter fence of Moor Farm training ground and spoken to. Officers conducted routine checks which were all above board.

Despite media reports, no damage to the fence was found, and the man was stopped outside the grounds.

No arrests were made and the man was sent on his way.”

I think overall quality is better than Eredivisie. And is really fun league to watch.

Wigan 3-0 Aston Villa. Villa down to 12th
And Nottingham Forest lose 2-0 to Reading, and finish with 9 men

Norwich draw against WBA in today's big match so Sheffield United reach them in the 2nd place. Middlesbrough win as well. Both Nottingham and Villa lose badly. Brentford climbing up the table, while Ipswich beat Rotherham to keep hope to stay up. Bristol City-Bolton 2-1, Hull City-Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 and Preston-Swansea 1-1. Millwall-Blackburn now.
Blackburn win 2*-0.

With Smith seemingly on one of his runs of poor results how's it going down with the fanbase?

IMO he's deserved his shot at a job at a big club and being a Villa man he should be afforded the time and definitely be in charge for next season come what may from now till the end of this season. How has the style changed since his appointment - got to be much more fun to watch than than Bruce surely?

Massive movers from 18th to 17th :D I'll take it though seemed like we were cemented in 18th place recently onwards and upwards! Battered Stoke today - they had 2 shots, 1 their goal from our mistake the other blocked from 25 yards. Then both our nearest and deares lose, Fulham with 2 own goals and no shots on target from Burnley

A few are starting to want him out. I give him same timeframe as Steve Bruce e.g. pass for this half season so he can sort things out with the squad and then properly judge him next season when he's had a pre season and all that.

That said I would be very disappointed if we didn't make play offs. It's a much weaker league than last season when Wolves and Fulham were excellent teams and Cardiff were very consistant.

Even with this poor run we're only 5 points off Derby in 6th.

Martin O'Neill is seemingly poised to be the next manager of Nottingham Forest.

A lot of Forest fans are annoyed but I think he’ll do a decent job. He’s normally very good in the short term.

His football was dire with Ireland but the players just weren’t good enough. Comfortably the weakest generation of talent I’ve ever seen and between form, injuries and players not declaring it was a very last few games that made his overall tenure look worse than it was. That and Keane being a maniac, bless him.

O'Neill talking ad nauseam about Brian Clough and winning the European Cup might be more effective at Forest. I'm still not quite sure why they sacked Karanka though.
