He should clean up at the Wigan awards this season. I wonder if he can get in the Championship team of the year but he’s gone unnoticed a lot of the time given Wigan are struggling.

The question now is what’s his long term position. He been moved from full back to midfield and excelled. I’ve seen him play brilliantly as a ball playing centre back for Chelsea too, although it was in a three. In terms of his England career he’d be best leaving the RB position behind because there’s an absurd amount of high quality right backs coming through at the moment. He’s such a brilliant crosser of the ball though it makes it a very strong position for him but he lacks in pace a bit there too.
58 career goals already too. I like him but he’s tall and ungainly so looks all over the place at times. He’ll be decried as being garbage by some fans no matter what he does because of that.
I doubt Leeds will have the strength/bottle for the playoffs. Another year in the champo for them.

Think Max Aarons (another top young English RB) will get in the official team though, not sure he’s been better, especially in context of the teams they play for, but Norwich have been talked about much much more. Aarons has already won the EFL young player of the year. James didn’t even make the final three.
