The Championship 2018/19 - Play-off final

The mighty Villa keep rolling on, on a mad run of results, really hoping they make it.

Let’s hope Leeds bottle it

Don't think the Norwich fans think much of this referee. He is correct, in this instance, but the fans are unhappy about everything.

Surely Norwich won't finish 3rd? That would be the biggest promotion bottlejob I'd see in the Championship if they do that.

Not that I would mind...I prefer it when the English leagues/pyramid has more variety. Sheffield United and Leeds haven't been in it recently so I'd like both of them to have another crack at it. Not to mention I think Wilder and Bielsa are more interesting managers than Farke.

Fecking hate Norwich. Easy 6 points for Liverpool every season but always seem to give us a game.

Nice report from the BBC....”Man United were reduced to being ironically cheered by their own supporters for merely stringing three passes together with Everton 4-0 up and in cruise control”

Man United were bad but they're not in the Championship. Not yet.

Our late season has revival has been a pleasant surprise, including back to back away wins. The gulf between the Championship and League One has clearly widened in recent years, and generally we’ve held our own pretty well against numerous wealthy and big spending teams in the division.

Our terrible run of form in February and March was hugely frustrating, and while we were never in any relegation danger this season, I was worried that a disastrous second half to this season could destroy any confidence for next season.

Seen a few of your fans want Mowbray sacked, seems like madness to me.

Bad? Shocking. Makes me laugh them having a go at another team losing when they are light years away from City.

@FootballHQ

Villa are like my second team this season. I’m desperate for you lot to get back in the PL.

Proper club, proper stadium, proper history. Sick of the shite like Cardiff and Burnley stinking out the Premier League over the years.

What’s happened to James Chester btw? Is he still club captain under Smith?

Look at the race for that last play-off spot. You have Middlesborough with 67 points after 43 games played, Bristol City on 66 points with 42 games played and Derby on 64 points with 42 games played. They all have a goal difference of +9!

Leeds really fecked it up last match, haven't they?

No way is Sheffield letting them into second. Bielsa, go back to spying.

Fecked it up in other matches too. Nice that we are at least better off than where we finished last season.

Championship is absolutely full of bottle jobs isn’t it

Are we allowed to laugh at Leeds if they lose this even though we aren’t as good as City? Just wondering how it works?

No, we aren't allowed to laugh at any of our rivals. Only when we are winning trebles is it acceptable to revel in the downfall of others.

Anyone who so much as raised a smile during City's CL elimination last week is not a 'true' United fan.
