And the award for the most pretentious and least pretentious trailers of the year go to...

Also during the whirlwhind of the Star Wars & Jurassic Park trailers, a couple of interesting ones slipped through the net.

Peter Pan prequel with Hugh Jackman on ham duty.

Directoral debut of Alex "The Beach/Sunshine/28 Days" Garland.

Is it just me or does the first one come across as a poor rip off of Tree of Life?

The second one could be stupidly amusing. Also, it's established the werewolf has sex, they were very insistent on that point.

Yeah WolfCop has potential. Low potential, but still. You know they'll over do it though. I don't even want to watch the trailer for The Color Of Time again, let alone the film. Even the title is annoying.

Ex Machina looks like he could be good. I like Garland, though his stuff tends to go barmy at the end.

Where can I watch this?

The BFI released the best available home video release a couple of years ago on dvd. It's the UK theatrical cut, meaning it omits the 'rape of christ' scene (elements of which are in the trailer) and parts of the scene with Vanessa Redgrave and her bone. The director's cut has been screened at the BFI southbank. There are various shoddy bootlegs that include some of the missing footage but personally I would just go with the BFI release.

To The Wonder was a pretty shit title too. I don't think he's used to not having 15 years to gestate over a film so he's firing out the first phrase that comes to mind, and slapping it on the poster.
