Locke- One of the best movies of 2014, Tom Hardy with an excellent performance. 9/10
That's exactly why it's brilliant. I was engaged and interested from the very first scene, the acting and script is feckin amazing. But sure look, not everybody's cup of tea I suppose. I did not like Under my skin, yet most people seem to enjoy it.It's about a guy talking on the phone in his car for 1.5 hours. It's literally just that. I can't understand how anyone can think this is a good film, let alone one of the best of 2014.
Who doesn't like 70 minutes of exposition on concrete pumping pressure delivered via an unconvincing Anthony Hopkins impression?

The narratives from the various conversations he has is more interesting than many other films and blockbusters. It was a great film. That's exactly why it's brilliant. Locke is crap.I haven't seen it but someone who often has decent taste in films though it was brilliant.
Well if it's a block...To be fair, by the 3rd painfully obvious concrete metaphor, it was at least unintentionally amusing.
They missed a trick by not using the tagline "Life is like a block of concrete, you never know when it's gonna set"

I would have used 'It's cement to be'.They missed a trick by not using the tagline "Life is like a block of concrete, you never know when it's gonna set"
That's beautifulI would have used 'It's cement to be'.
Watched that with my fam at about 1am Christmas Day. Best Christmas ever.None of them are as good as Sharknado 2, though.

John Wick is really stupid, but it's made superbly. It's like the Pacific Rim of action reveange flicks.
It was a big dumb gunfest, but it knew it and was strangely enjoyable, even if some of the action looked a bit shit.
I liked it. The fact that they made his character mysterious for the first 25 minutes or so, until the baddie was like "He did that to John Wick, shit!"
I like the way they manipulated my girlfriend into cooing over all the puppy scenes. You could almost sense it was going to get it! She was devastated.
You sure know how to talk to a lady. I'll be watching it asap.John Wick is really stupid, but it's made superbly. It's like the Pacific Rim of action reveange flicks.
No-one walked out of mine, but weirdly some-one walked in, an hour into the film. No idea what they thought was going on.
