This stadium move has come at the worst possible time for spurs. Another season at the lane they probably would do something more notable than second/third

Agreed. I do think that them having the CL games at Wembley last season will mean they're a bit more prepared this season. Not being able to change the pitch size will be a blow for them.

I can't see Liverpool or Arsenal finishing above them. Not sure about United. I would say its very likely they will be in the top 4. I also think they will do well in the Champions League, unless they get a horrible group. So, at this early stage I predict one cup victory, QF in CL and 4th in the league. My opinion is, however, virtually worthless.
Which are their targets? Expect them to buy well if they finally want to step up after the season they just had.

If they can't deal with the pitch size at Wembley then they won't be able to at their new stadium. As that won't be the same pitch size as their old stadium. So it's a case of dealing with it or getting your excuses out.

I'll wait until they've done some transfers. But they'll be up against it this year given the Wembley issue. No chance they can replicate the same home form.
We are mainly linked with Sessegnon, Barkley, Lemar (and previously Zaha, but then he went and signed a new contract at Palace). The first of these seems the most likely, but I wouldn't rule out Barkley as rumour has it that Pochettino thinks he could improve him a lot.
Lemar seems like a longer shot unless we sell Walker for big money.

I have to admit, I was surprised to see 57% yes votes. It's early though, as you say.
As for the season, the title is wishful thinking considering our form at Wembley last year. I'm admittedly quite nervous about playing there. The opening match against Chelsea will be interesting.
Top 4 is obviously the goal and anything above that is a bonus. I think we can do it mostly because I believe in Pochettino, his philosophy, and his track record of developing players. It would be nice if we could actually win a trophy, but think that will depend on our ability to add more quality depth to the squad during the window. Excited to see Winks come back healthy and, delusional as it may sound, I still have faith Janssen can turn into a serviceable backup to Kane. But Alli, Eriksen and Son can't play every match of every competition, Lamela remains out with a mystery injury and Sissoko is terrible....so, we'll see. I'm expecting Levy to leave it late as usual, but I remain cautiously optimistic about our chances as long as we have Pochettino and our core players.
With Alves going to City they seem set to keep hold of Walker I would imagine

Chelsea and Liverpool will have Champions League football to contend with, and Arsenal will be hampered by the Europa League. I fancy them to make top 4 again.
They'll get top 4 even if they don't add to their squad, they're extremely dangerous and sure the pitch issue affects them but no doubt they'll adjust. Liverpool on the other hand will struggle to make it right now.
I like the spurs team but they seriously need to add depth to challenge for things. The above poll question shouldn't be, will they make top 4? But rather, will they win the league? They're definitely one of the stronger teams in England (not in Europe) and I feel like top 4 will be a routine for them for some time now.

Expect them to finish above Arsenal and Liverpool at the very least, so a top four spot seems well within reach. They were the form team for parts of last season and with Levy in charge a Monaco-style sell off of players seems unlikely.

I voted yes before I remembered they are playing at Wembley. Think they will struggle there.
Easy top 4 contenders. Poch has built a really good system there and they'll be challenging again.
I agree, despite how annoying one or two of their posters are I actually really like their side, British spine and play attacking football. They are likeable (par maybe Ali
).Tough to choose. The Wembley factor seriously hampers them, but Liverpool and Arsenal really aren't looking too hot, and so far we're nothing special either. City and Chelsea are probably sure-fire certainties to finish above them but no one else is a real stand out. I think they'll finish fourth, with City first, Chelsea second and us in third.
What effect playing at Wembley will have will be the big question mark. However, for those who didn't read the article we are allowed to change the pitch size to the smallest PL approved size (100x68) WHL was 100x67.
Don't know what effect it will have, playing at Wembley will probably negatively effect our home form from last season, but it could also be a positive and help our away form. Hard to say. Either way, the new stadium will be at least 100x68 so we might as well get used to it, and I think it's for the best in the long run.
Little to no effect I would imagine. The players may feel a little homesick at first, but nothing so serious as to have a detrimental effect on their season overall. These lads are professionals at the top of their trade, they have played their football in a multiude of stadiums where size and pitch quality vary greatly.
Far more pressing an issue is squad they start the season with, thus far no improvements have been made from last year and the proposed incomings that GlastonSpur mentioned are far from exciting, at least not for a club expecting to challenge for the title next season.
Is Walker leaving?
That's what I was thinking. I really don't see anyone who is guaranteed top four. City should be with their purchases but they struggled with other world class players last season too. Chelsea will be majorly found out and struggle with Europe. And as you say Liverpool, Arsenal and Utd are unknowns.
So in conclusion I'm going to vote yes. Spurs will make it. Even stranger is that any of the five top managers could win the league: Jose, Pep, Klopp, Conte or Poch. Sorry Arsene, no more invites.
Spurs are certainly contenders and they have some quality players and good manager. It's hard to tell how much effect the Wembley situation will have, but even if it's a minor effect, I can't see the same advantage that they got at White Hart Lane.

I personally think he'll stay. I don't think we'll sell to City for under 60m and I doubt they will want to pay that. He might go to Juventus, but even then I don't think they'll pay what Levy would want (probably 40+).
Hard to say though. What do you reckon with Özil and Sanchez?

I honestly think the pitch thing has been blown out of all proportion and it will have absolutely no impact on how the team plays. No doubt we will be training on the same sized pitch that we will be playing on so it's a non issue for me. That's not to say that it might not take time for the team to feel at home playing at Wembley, that's a different issue and I guess only time will tell to see if that has an impact but I think if we can get a few wins at the ground early on then I'd imagine it will be no problem.

Would be good for you to keep him. He has been one of the keys for Spurs in the last years.
They always seem to have a slightly slow start to the season, so they need to hit the ground running this time especially with playing at Wembley. It also depends on what Pochettino can do to strengthen the squad, with the resources limited, it would be hard to improve the first XI, but if they can bring in 3-4 good back-ups on the same level as Son, Trippier, Dier then they will definitely be contenders again.
Surely the main aim will to be go further in the CL. I wouldn't say CL quarters and 2nd would be a failure at all.

'They always get off to a slow start" seems to be this new "they always run out of steam at the end of the season" which the 6-1 and 7-1 firmly put to rest.
