Can this Winks kiddie become a top player? I've heard that he is very highly rated but don't know too much about him.

I reckon so, yes. I was very impressed with his appearances last season (31 in total, 19 in the league) ... and Pochettino clearly trusts him.
I'd say he's a box-to-box type of CM, so currently an under-study for Dembele.
It's always great to see a young Englishman getting a chance at a big club. Hopefully he can really kick on this season and replace Dembele.
Both to be fair, even though we won the semi, you still had your moments.
I hate to say it but it seems only a matter of time before these feckers win the title. Hopefully Wembley really fecks them over, they take a while to adapt to the new ground and the top player's panic and leave. Other than that, it's only a matter of time with there current trajectory.
Who are Spurs' transfer targets for the first 11? I.e good players they have a prayer in getting, not Lemar as I doubt Spurs would pay >50m it would take to get him and I doubt he would downgrade or at best make a sideways move.
I think it's important they get someone for the first 11. They are in the very enviable position of only needing to add 1/2 players to their first 11 so that they go up a level, and genuinely challenge for the title (not sure last season was a challenge, but whatever). If they however stick to what they have it can lead to complacency or teams figuring out how to deal with them. It of course can work, but in football you are always supposed to be improving and if that is not the case, you end up finishing 5th with the same group of players who 'challenged for the title '

What do you make of Onomah's chances of breaking through this season? Surely Pochettino will have been watching his performances at the U20 World Cup with interest and with Winks recovering from a long term injury, it might push him up the pecking order. He's got a similar skill set to Dembele so he could slot into that role without changing anything tactically.
I don't think we have any really, partly through of lack of money (new stadium costs), partly because there is no real value in the transfer market currently, and partly because I don't think any player in our first XI really needs upgrading ... although if Walker is sold then there's a case for arguing that we could do with a new RB to at least provide stiff competition for Trippier.
So as per last summer I see this window as mainly being about improving squad cover/competition/rotation options and bringing one or two academy/youth players into (or further into) the first team squad.
I prefer the look of Onomah to winks personally. Never really got the hype of Winks, he seems like a Tom Cleverley regen.

Some interesting information about both the ‘player lodge’ – a 45-room facility that we're adding to our training ground and which will be finished in time for the start of next season – and the culture within our training facility that's been put in place since Pochettino arrived:
"... The mission statement is ‘No Excuses’. .... This training facility is designed solely to deliver not just a culture but a reality of ‘no excuses’.
Upon leaving the reception area, the access is split into staff and playing staff divided by a secure partition which ensures neither party can overhear the other.
There are also a plethora of other psychological plays at work here. The first team only park in the same space. Everyone else parks separately. There are even different coloured training socks for non-first team players. The level of attention to this sort of thing is considerable.
The accommodation is personally designed for each player. So there are no excuses. ‘How did you sleep?’ The answer is never ‘not too well’, because the player chooses their own style of bed. Their own bedding and their linens.
The TVs are loaded up with the individual’s favourite channels, recordings of favourite shows and series etc. Everything a player might want in terms of furnishings etc in the rooms are what a player asks for. So this isn’t vaguely roughing it, and the feeling of being away from home is minimised as much as humanly possible.
Within the perimeters of what the club recommends, all food and drink requirements are also individually tailored. Do you prefer a certain brand of water? Then you have it as there are no excuses.
With the work side of the experience, again there are no excuses. The technical equipment, everything is the very best available. Don’t confuse this with pampering – this is damage limitation at perhaps it’s most sophisticated.
Everyone talks to each other. This is a culture that Tom Sherwood would be fried alive in, like a slug in a bucket of salt. There is no whispering, sneering and blanking of anyone. Even when you walk past a member of the facility’s staff, you greet them and an atmosphere of togetherness is actively encouraged. ‘We is us’ as a great man once said."

In Portugal, there are talks about a 30M€ offer from Tottenham for Adrien Silva. Credible or unlikely?
In my opinion yes, though not to the level of Kane/Alli. A Darren Fletcher maybe?

Given that we have to play our home games at Wembley, then yes, I think that's a fair comment league-wise.

Can I ask why/when? I don't particularly rate either, but I think Winks is more likely to make it as a squad player.
My only really good look at him was at the u20 world cup. Perhaps his size/strength advantage made him look even better than he is, but it was his drive/defensive work on the ball that impressed me the most. If he can translate that to men's football he's got a good chance.
Fair enough, I think from his club appearances (Onomah), Winks looks much more suited to the Prem game at the moment. I'm more excited to see if Marcus Edwards can get a shout this season, he's meant to be mustard.
He's always been a very good prospect, at CM. Unfortunately though Spurs fans have only seen him in short cameos as a winger or 2nd striker where he's generally looked a little lost and now have a pretty lowly opinion of him, hopefully he gets a chance to play in his actual position this season.
yeah I only remember him ever being used as a sub in the last few minutes of matches on the wing or just as an extra body to sure the game up. Winks was ahead of him I assume due to age/experience, but I don't see anything special in him IMO.
I actually like their kit for next season, a bit simplistic but I often think the best kits are.

It's as if they're invisible in this transfer window - both in buying players and selling them, which I guess is a good thing from their point of view given that their best bet is to simply try and keep that group together for 1 more season.
But at the same time, Arse have improved, United and City have improved, Liverpool have improved (mildly)...
Are they linked with anyone interesting?
And I wonder if behind closed doors bigger clubs are trying at least ruffle Dele Alli, Eriksen and Kane's feathers? In this ruthless modern footy world, I defo imagine so.

Tbf when you include Son in their first XI they have a decent bench in Davies, Wanyama, Janssen (mark my words), Trippier, Winks. They've got some weird players though in N'Jie & Nkoudou who they have to offload as well as Sissoko.

I think we are waiting for Walker to move on which looks likely to happen to free up funds to get a couple of players in.
From what I've heard we have had contact with several players so something could happen in the next week or two. No doubt we have received bids for many of our players however the club is not entertaining offers for any of them (apart from Walker and Wimmer). Links - the strongest one is Barkley and I'd say that is quite likely to happen, other than that we will likely bring in another defender as Wimmer looks likely to leave and we are in the market for an attacker (either wide attacker or striker). The club have shored up any leaks that could be relied on to share info so even the ITK guys who we rely on to give us the inside track have no information.
