Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

Right Cockneys put down your jellied eels, turn off your Chas and Dave LP, stick the pearly coat on, get outside and give us some weather updates over the weekend!

He said we would beat Spurs at OT,Lose to City and Liverpool away. I am always really worried when he backs us and confident when he doesnt in big games.

He also said we were going to bottle it against Liverpool but they would dig us of out shit while beating City at home. He's never been a good predictor but he's had a shocker so far this season.

I have been waiting for a rematch spurs need to get served. Last game I watched with a Tottenham supporter and he was very afraid because Rooney was back. I had to eat my words and he literally almost peed himself with excitement when they won. This needs to happen and soon

Jesus you Brits are pussies when it comes to snow. A cm or two and let's cancel all the games!

In fairness I'm 10-15 miles away from White Hart Lane and we've had a good 20cm. Shouldn't be a problem at all though, especially if there's no more snow as forecast - and as of now, it has stopped.

20cm? Bloody hell I thought the country was genuinely overreacting. We've had about 5 and people are crashing/abandoning cars left right and centre. Granted, we're a bit rural in Calverley so our roads aren't clear but it's pretty embarrassing.

Echo the comments above, I'm probably about 20 odd miles away, and it's very heavy snow indeed here.

Hope the area around the ground is ok.We want to play this now really. Certainly don't want this shoehorned in somewhere dodgy later on, as we have a full squad pretty much, and are in decent form.

BBC saying it's going to snow mildly over the weekend. Don't know what exactly do they mean by light snow but surely, if they can manage to remove as much of the already lying snow as possible, it shouldn't be a problem?

I can see this ending in a draw. Spurs are a decent team and the weather is bad.

Except that this extends beyond the pitch. If it is felt that the stands, approaches the the stadium and transport links are not in a fit state then it will very likely be postponed.

Of course this could be in part mitigated by using vast quantities of grit in and around WHL.

Sometime people forget that having a clear pitch is not enough, If it is not safe to get to the ground, then they will postpone.
I think the match will be OK on Sunday, not much more snow is due, it will just very very cold.

If anyone could predict football results, they'd be smoking a Havana cigar, while enjoying the view of their private beach, from the terrace of their Riviera villa.

And I've cracked the way to do it: ask Pete, and then bet on the opposite. At least with respect to his predictions about United results.

It's just one of his usual "I'd rather be poking my eyes out than talk to you lot" pressers.

Shit, I must have dreamt that this was cancelled

De Gea

Rafael - take bale out of the game
Vidic
Ferdinand
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Cleverley
Kagawa

Rooney

RVP

Huge game, if we dont drop points here it will be very disheartening for city, they must be banking on it, as well as last weekend as a time to gain ground.

1-2, Rooney x 2

If we win this, it will be yet another huge mentality boost. After this game, the only other 'big game' is away to Arsenal. Plus, they still have to come to Old Trafford.

Forgetting Chelsea are we? :)

And I doubt Everton will just kneel before United either.

I'm taking about big away games. Obviously we can slip up at home to Chelsea and Everton, but the odds would be in our favour to get the three points in those two games.

No argument with you on that one.
However you should've worded yourself a bit differently to make it obvious you were talking about away games particularly :)

Yeah, I meant to say 'big away game'. But didn't bother editing my post.

I can see tomorrows game going any which way.
3-0... 0-3... 3-3.

As it's been mentioned. Winning this one will be huge because t's probably the hardest game left on paper this season. I don't think Arsenal are as good as Spurs this season and the other top matches are at home, where we are always tipped to win.

Also, I meant to ask...

Does anyone know which teams have beaten Spurs at WHL this season? I think Wigan won there..
