Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

feck sake, why is this on at such a diabolical time? I don't have this station and going to the pub at noon is a bit much on a Sunday.

We must win after the Cardiff game

Depends on the other results. Let's hope Cardiff can grab a couple of points from Arsenal too, wouldn't rule that out. Saying we must win is pretty much saying we must win every match from here to Kingdom come. It's Spurs away; Spurs with a point to prove at that - a point is acceptable in my opinion.

A win is a must. We've got Everton next week, is a point acceptable then, too? We'll only continue to loiter about in 5th or 6th place unless we start winning games consistently. There's little worry right now, but there comes a point in time when they're not good enough. We're there. City smashed these 6-0 at the weekend and they're gutless going forward. If we play positively then it's all down to us.

Certainly need to go all out for a win after Cardiff. If we don't win, we can suddenly find ourselves 9/10 points off Arsenal, and although we're relaxed about them at the moment, that'd still take them losing 3 games,or dropping points 4 times while we have a perfect record to catch up!

I can't see how Morale can just not take effect after such a thrashing, surely they would still be pretty shaken when we come to play them.

I would guess that they'll be super ultra defensive against us. We're not very good at playing against such a set up unless someone capitalises on a mistake or we get a head on a corner/FK.

A point at White Hart Lane is okay??

If Arsenal wins at Cardiff and we don't win.....then they're at least 9 points away from us.......that is much.

We haven't lost there since 2001 and Tottenham aren't in good form.........we must win on Sunday.

Ain't that what I said? It depends on the other results. Pointless to argue over it, though. I want a win, as does everyone. But a draw isn't necessarily the end of the world.

How do people think Kagawa would do in the no.10 position against Spurs? I've got a feeling that they'll play well and I'm just worried that their steely midfielders will bully Shinji.

His perfectly weighted passes on the counter attack could tear spurs apart on a good day.

The last time United played a North London team I wanted a United win but its definitely a Spurs win I want, as I really dont think they are going to be competing anywhere near this season.

Doubt they will make the top 4, let alone the title.

Your lucky, we haven't even got it on SkY. Hull vs Liverpool is the early KO.

Really? I can't see that at all to be honest. I think they'll come out and attack especially being at home and they'll press us to death but we'll see.

Really want a win here. Another good result after the Leverkusen result will bring a sense of momentum, particularly as we're on an unbeaten run now. Tottenham are soft too, if we go into games like this happy with a draw we won't have a hope of winning the league.

Yeah, I'd rather a Spurs win too. They don't worry me much, which I know is a cocky approach, but whatever. I'm more worried about our neighbours than I am Spurs which is really saying something. I think next season they'll be more of a force, but this season I'm not too worried.

I don't think they can setup defensively and be good at it. Plus, they're at home and would be expected to push on, especially after last week's debacle. Should be an entertaining game.

Depending on RVP's fitness, if he isn't 100% which I doubt he is, I would have him on the bench and give the Rooney/Kagawa partnership another run. No need to rush RVP back yet and with the form Rooney is in and the promise Kagawa showed, I really hope Moyes gives it a run in the league.

I think Fellaini will come in for Giggs, nothing to do with Giggs' performance, he was out of this world for me but I think he ran 11km's or something.

Really hope Rafael is back, Smalling has been doing very well but yeh, we have Rafael and he changes the way we line up compared to when we have a CB playing at RB.

If there's 1 thing for certain we can say it will be a dull, lethargic display with the kick off at that time.

Stupid decision.

No fecking Fellaini (or whatever) in midfield please. Play Jones, Cleverley, Kagawa, Giggs or even Anderson.

Will be Jones and Fellaini I reckon.

I don't think Giggs can manage two games in a week - nor should we expect him too (though if anyone can prove you wrong...), thus I think it'll be Fellaini/Jones in there, which would be fine I think. Fellaini was better than Cleverley last week (though that wasn't a difficult feat to achieve) so he probably deserves to start ahead of him.

The other one is Rio - no way should we be playing RIo for 3 games in one week, asking for trouble I'd say... but with everyone injured, what else is there? He's obviously not going to play Fabio, so maybe Valencia right back with Smalling/Evans? Doubt it.

Think we'll see a return of Danny Welbeck to the side - probably at Nani's expense.

If Rafael is back, we might realistically go for Evans and Smalling. If he isn't, we should go for Valencia at RB - but I doubt we will. No Rafael means Rio, I think. And it's definitely a worry.

Aye, injuries are a bitch.

I'd be really disappointed to see Welbeck over Nani though, always screams a lack of attacking ambition to me when he's put out wide. I'd prefer Adnan.

@Eboue

Really don't want to see Ferdinand, he was pretty awful against Leverkusen. I know Fabio is the new Not Allowed, but I'd rather see him at RB and Smalling at CB if Rafael isn't fit yet.

De Gea

Rafael
Vidic
Evans
Evra

Valencia
Jones
Giggs
Nani

Kagawa

Rooney

Subs: Lindegaard, Smalling, Buttner, Fellaini, Cleverley, RvP, Hernandez.

hoping to see a fairly similar team to the one in midweek. Can't see Giggs having the legs to start, but this is Giggs so who knows, and Rio shouldn't play. Smalling needs a run of games at centre back, play Fabio or Valencia on the right if Rafael is not fit.

We need to play with pace on the counter again, I would play Anderson next to Jones as he has great energy for 60 mins and then Fellaini will come on

Goes without saying we need all 3 here, as we did last Sunday tbh. Obviously, the ideal way of toppling the league leaders is not to be moving in the opposite direction from them (unless of course, they are losing games!).

Team:

DDG

Smalling/Rafael (if fit)
Evans
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Jones
Anderson
Nani

Rooney
RVP

That team has the best energy levels I think, which is what we will need against these. They are a big, strong and fast bunch, and we have been overrun against them a few times. Despite the clamour, I'd play RVP ahead of Shinji all day.

I don't like it when a team we're coming up against hasn't scored a goal for yonks in the League, it's a knocker they'll bag against us.....

hopefully we'll have a performance more in keeping with Wednesday's, must admit, I am not confident though.....

Normally, I'd agree but Spurs didn't look good again yesterday against Tromoso and AVB is in the middle of a meltdown.

The selection headache continues. But as much as I love RVP, I would really like to see exactly the same front four we saw on Wednesday: Rooney up front, Kagawa behind, with Nani and Valencia either side.

pretty awful? In a game they perhaps had one chance in? My word.

I don't think you'd find many on here denying he had a bad game, even if he was the only United player who did. Leverkusen were toothless in attack but the three best attacks they did have all came from bad Ferdinand mistakes - letting Kiessling walk right past him, passing it about ten yards to a Leverkusen forward thus creating a two-on-two attacking situation out of nothing, and falling asleep to allow his man a shot at the near post. Not to mention there were a fair few near misses, like when he fell asleep and the Leverkusen forward almost got on the end of a pass to Ferdinand from Jones/Giggs (can't remember which), which would have been a perfectly good pass if he was paying attention.

I don't want to sound like I'm having a go at him, I just can't believe you're expressing surprise that I think he had an awful game when he so obviously did.

Townsend VS Evra is frightening me. A real test of Evras real level this season as he has made some blunders so far. Hopefully he steps up like he has a tendency to do against great opposition.

Even if we lose we can still win the League. I think City and Chelsea are our main contenders for the title even though LFC have an advantage only having the League and maybe the odd FA-cup match to play. We have been in worse situations before and still won it and if we continue to play like against Leverkusen there will be no stopping us.
