Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

I can see a draw tomorrow. Spurs are going to be massively up for this but I think they will be quite cautious in not wanting to get beat after recent results. If we get the first goal I can see the game opening up nicely for us. Wouldn't be surprised if this finished 0-0. fecking hope not though...

I agree,I think it will be low scoring and a scoreless draw between two sides desperate not to lose is very possible indeed.I think we'll set up to play as City did against them last week and counter them.I wish we were better prepared to go there and try to take the game to them, but our midfield hasn't the qualities.Jones will be key in winning the ball back and distributing the ball the the players that can hurt them. Can't think of who i'd like to partner him?? I would be tempted to play Anderson or if not, Cleverley.I am not sure Fellaini will be able to have an impact in such a game. Now if we were playing Aussie rules??!!

?!

You know when you post stuff and someone takes the piss, and you're tired and get paranoid that you've just posted utter bollocks? I have that feeling right now! I'm assuming Hernandez that the bit in bold type makes no sense to you? It should read that I think it will be low scoring, maybe one nil or one each, but that it would surprise few if it ended without a goal.

I'm going for 0-2. No reason why. Just a feeling.

Really looking forward to this. Hoping for a decent atmosphere tomorrow as well. Could well be a turning point in our season if we win.

Big vocal effort and hopefully we will do the job.

Is RVP back for this one. Even if he's healthy, it'd be tempting to go with Rooney and Kagawa again, with RVP ready to come on if needed.

Please play well and win well. Is this too much to ask?

I would take a performance like Leverkusen's against us and Spurs are playing like Bayern Munich but we win.

A very good performance is a bonus.....but we can talk about playing very well if we're first in the table IMO.

I'm always so pissed off for the rest of the day if we don't win.
I'm not happy if we're playing like Bayern Munich but we don't win the feckin game.

You meant "or," not "and." I always hate when people find a trivial thing to argue about.

I work in a betting call centre and this will be on the screen behind my desk from when my shift starts, hoping for a quiet day tomorrow

Still no closer to knowing who might be starting. I think we need to attack them right away as they will be nervy and if we get them on the back foot their fans will start to get anxious and that will turn the atmosphere in our favour, we can't let them build up steam.

We really need to win this game. I can see us dropping points though, Tottenham will be really up for the game on the back of their last result and we are playing away. Fingers crossed we put in a seriously good performance and get a good win

The result and performance against Leverkusen was vital, not just for our CL ambitions.I think we'll go into this game with plenty confidence and the stats show we're not an easy side to beat, but does this side believe it can win a game away to Spurs? It's similar to the game at home to Arsenal in that losing will leave us a way off the top.We approached that game with a real will to win and I hope today is no different.

Spurs should be wound after their mare last weekend, but hopefully that mauling will have left them scarred and vulnerable.Three hours to go folks.I'd be happy for them to bring it forward three hours because i'm nervouse as fook! I am going to go for 1-0 United with a defender scoring the winner.Evans perhaps.

In long run, maybe a draw would have looked decent result had we not drop 7 points versus West brom, Saints and Cardiff but with Newcastle and Everton winning yesterday, a loss will put us at 9th position and 10 points behind league leaders. Therefore, absolutely vital that we win this game. Spurs might not be in best frame of mind after last week's humiliation and might be nervous at start. It is important we take game by scruff of it's neck early and don't let them settle and gain in confidence. Also,a lot depends on how much Spurs players are behind AVB. There are talks of him getting sack and if it is what players want as well, then we have a good chance today.
2-1 to United!

Felt bad going into the Bayer Leverkusen match, go out and pump them, I feel good about this game. SHIT!

We're very unpredictable results-wise this season, but Spurs have been woeful in front of goal. Could go either way really, so I'll do a Lawro and say 1-1.

I think we'll take the lead, then Moyes will throw in some defenders toward the end, and we'll draw.

I think we will come out of the blocks early and take the lead inside 15 minutes.

If he plays 4-4-2 and loses it may have very serious consequences on his trust from the board/fans. If he plays 4-2-3-1 however players and people in general will probably forever question his tactical ability as a manager.

Must be the biggest game in his career in terms of nailing the tactics.

I don't think I'd lose my trust in him that easily, and given the display at Bayer last week I'd say the fans and board trust him now more then ever.

Far too much emphasis on formations these days.

4231 doesn't have to be more negative than 442.

I can see the same lineup with perhaps Cleverley coming in for Giggsy.

0-2 for us with Kagawa and Nani scoring the goals.

I'll be happy about the line up as long as Jones is in the middle and Kagawa in the hole.

Watching the last couple of minutes of the Cardiff game on MUTV just now isn't the best preparation. Back into frustrated mode.

He played a 4-2-3-1 which is why I made that point. He had the best game of the season finally playing the way everybody has been nagging him to play and he did it because of injuries.

If he now goes back to 4-4-2 and loses because of lack of possession and being dominated in the central midfield it will be a hard blow to his tactical competency.

I'm more nervous about this one than I have been for a while, because it feels like there is genuinely the potential for another great performance and good win here (whereas a lot of the time this season my expectations haven't been high).
