Tottenham v Manchester United

I can see Anderson coming on at some point. Rafael has been immense, but needs to cool it EVER so slightly.

Rio and Vidic have been good. Carrick and Fletcher almost anonymous.

Rooney with the same shit he's been doing since March. Berba with some quality touches.

Fletcher has been appalling this season, I'm sorry, but he has. He's a liability right now.

Carrick is great and can look like Xavi when not under pressure.... when midfielders close him down and challenge him though, 50% of the time it does not end well...

Carrick has been so poor, get Anderson on for him.
Rooney hasn't been good either.
Nani hasn't had the ball enough.
Vidic and Rio have been great.

Modric absolutely running the show for Spurs, class act.

Once again our central midfield has been woeful. I hope SAF gives them what for in the dressing room - we have been over run in the middle of the park and Carrick & Fletcher don't look in the game in the slightest. I guess Anderson will be on shortly after the restart.

Frustrating half. We worked it OK to their box then fecked up every move.

Need more composure. We won't see any changes until 60 minutes at least though.

Possibly looking like Scholes and Ando needed, especially now with Fletcher booked, he'll be muzzled.

Rafael been great going forward, but not great defensively - yellow doesn't help either.

Vidic a beast. Nani and Berbatov very quiet.

I would have loved watching this game if I were neutral. No passing in the middle, just old fashion play infront of each goal

Hope Sir Alex can get Scholes and/or Anderson on quickly. Worried about our central midfield, even if it's for fifteen minutes.

Giggs has been horrendous. Not in the game at all. Take him off and bring on Scholes or Ando.

Hernandez to come on in the last 10 mins for Berba.

It's been a Vidic masterclass till now. He's been magnificent.

Hmm. That was a bit... disappointing.

We can do better over the whole pitch. In particular we gotta improve our touch and passing everywhere, create some better chances and stop fouling so damn much. We need more from our strikers, wingers and central midfielders. There's no reason why we can't take the lead.

Rafael still flying into challenges after the yellow. Doesn't help that we have no full backs on the bench either.

Rafael though has been god like attacking wise, has been raped on the defensive front sadly.

We had no cutting edge going forward that half, its crying out for a counter attacking plan and we don't seem to be that arsed in trying it.

Need to mofaking get a hold of the ball and stop giving it away. Carrick needs to fukin wake up. Need to get Nani more involved some how as well, though he has been a bit lazy in tracking back.

Rafael our best player out there - rest of the team need to get on the same level as him, at least that energy and desire.

We'll lose but, hopefully we can at least play better.

Spurs definitely have the advantage in the CM positions. Fletcher and Carrick have been either wayward with their passes, or they've let Modric skip merrily past them.

A positive though is Rafael. Yes, he's got himself booked, but he's also decided that he hates Assou-Ekkoto, and is taking every opportunity to whiz past him.

They're stretched at the back when they have a lot of men forward but so far it's only Rafael who has attempted to run at them.

Bring on Anderson and give Nani a kick up the backside please, Fergie.

Rooneys been awful. Had s great chance early on and then another where he could have set bervatov up for a tap in.

This. It's stupid giving away soo many fouls when they have great set piece takers and Crouch.

Rafael has been our main attacking threat. I'd put Scholes on for giggs and shift to a 4-3-3

I am not a fan of Carrick and Fletcher's play, but what would Anderson do?
He's so hit and miss, passing is inconsistent and we need possession right now.

We need another option in midfield. Scholes would be nice :(

Looks like we have become a fair weather team. We can't pass when it is raining and makes the likes of Birmingham Stoke, West Ham play like Barca.
I don't know if it is the studs? Visibility or just pure one too many softness in the team. Only Vidic, Rafael can say they were out there. In such weather, Berba is just add up to the numbers.
This game needs a Scholes, but I don't know who to take out. Many be Berba out and lets try and nick a goal or hope for a draw.

Berba has been one of our most creative/threatning player although not much involved.

Him and Nani just need to get involved more.

Really?

That's bollocks, mate.Scholes is one of the most technically gifted players under pressure.

When he has the ball, off the ball he struggles and that's the dynamic of this game, it's weighted heavily in Tottenham's favour unfortunately.

Our midfield is woeful under pressure, playing 4-4-2.

Rafael has been excellent, bar the occasional spaz attack and his inability to make the final good pass.

Nani has been peripheral in this game, but it's necessary to help curtail Bale on the right lane.

This isn't Berbatov's type of game. Hernandez would be a better option. Rooney has been very frustrating. Giggs has been, eh, shit

Vidic, Rio and VDS have been very good.

Spurs look the most likely to score so far.

Agree with most comments, we were fecking raped in MF. Young Rafa was immense...

Everything has been coming off our Fwds, i liked the first change when Berbatov and Rooney played both deep and drove fwd together, we would have more of a chance scoring than for both of them to try to beat the offside trap.

This game needs a Hernandez type striker, we have the possession but neither Rooney nor Berbatov makes the run because they both enjoy playing deep.

I think the ref has been a disgrace, he's bowed to the crowd. We've been hard but fair in our tackling - Rafael's booking was a joke.

Well that was open!

Bale has got past Rafael a bit more than I'd expected and more than I like, but Rafael has been bloody brilliant going forward. Hate to see card waving but hopefully a bollocking from Rio will be the end of that. More forward runs and less rash challenges in the second half please lad.

Centre midfield has been weak, Carrick and Fletch just aren't working well enough, I think Scholes should maybe be introduced at some point if they don't sort themselves out soon. Nani needs more of the ball and sooner, give him some space to run in to and put their defence under pressure, teaming up with Rafael looks like it will unlock them.

Rooney's a bit hit and miss, had a few decent efforts from range but then misplaced passes and efforts as well. Still get the feeling he may be the one to find the back of the net if the right ball finds it's way to him.

Overall it's very even, Spurs have looked very good and have broken through us with class at times, better finishing and they could have scored a few.

Anonymous? Yeah, apart from giving the ball away in very dangerous areas every 10-15 mins.
