I'd take John Walters at this stage. Striker with height and played in the premier league...

Honestly, the more I think of it, a Reus-Januzaj swap makes sense, especially with those three departures earlier today

what do you mean?
Hide their embarrassment.

United had been adamant not wanting to sell De Gea for less than world record fee. In the end, if reports are to be believed they sold him for less than 20 Million. It was always to be expected.

If you are getting a quite good GK in return it is not exactly a deal worth less than 20 million. Say if we had got just hard cash of 40m for DDG, we anyway would have to spend at least 20m of them on a GK.

An absolute head feck of a window. Discussions will go long into the season about all this

Unless you are a gladbach fan, that was very very random.

Might appear this way. In 2015 Gladbach is probably the team in Germany I watched the most excluding Schalke. They already have Sommer and Xhaka there, two players who know Embolo from the national team and their attacking options aren't that great. Drmic might not be enough for them. Also they are one of the few teams who have a possession football approach and Favre is a very good coach. Still, wishful thinking on my part. :wenger:

You mean they pay £19m for De Gea and we pay £10m for Navas so it's £9m plus Navas

Or do you mean they £19m cash with Navas valued at £10m cash so it's £29m for De Gea or about 40m euros

I'm guessing the second option.
You're guessing right. 40 Euros is the total deal.

None of the other keepers out there are as good on crosses as De Gea and Courtouis, not even Neuer, but Leno and the other German keepers are proficient enough at it for it not to be an issue, their keepers are taught in a similar way to ours, Navas is more the classic dive for the cameras keeper common in Spain and South America.
Interesting. So there'd never be a South American trained goal keeper who is good enough to play in EPL then?

We should have transfers for journos

Rumour has it Real Madrid want to sign Di marzio which could Pave way for Chelsea to replace Duncan castles with guillem balague.

That depends on how young you bought him, you can retrain a keeper like we did with De Gea, if they are young enough to not have too many habits ingrained in their game.

Oh cool. Didn't follow them a lot for a couple of years now. Xhaka is highly rated is all I know about them

seriously, who gives a shit? everyone is taking turns taking jabs at us. It's quite tiring and frankly it's causing unwarranted mass hysteria amongst the fans.
Rightly so, we are top of the football headlines today, not a lot going on that doesn't involve us

I haven't been able to follow the transfer sagas as much lately. What's the current status? Is DDG&Navas deal 99% certain? Is Martial still on? Are we buying anyone else?

Another one to add to the list of journos who are supposed to cover our club for a living but don't have a clue and are now lashing out.

Sound business would of course be deals that he is privy to and can actually pick up.

Instead we're making 'show business deadline deals' and you can't get a scoop on a single one? You're shite at your job, give up.

SSN HQ and a lot of other respectable journalists/outlets are saying De Gea is off to Madrid with Navas coming to United. Martial is at Carrington and having a medical.

Is it muppetry to think of the excitement of Di Maria, RVP, Giggs, CR7, the capacity for surprise, for poetry, for changing a game out of nothing, with a little wistfulness?
Spurs won't sell Kane to us, not this window anyway.
Did anybody watch Kane this week? He was useless.

We got £7.50 for DDG, Navas is on 400k a week, Martial has retired to follow his dream of working in discount retail and blogging about cake, we've been linked to Sanogo
