Alves going for free is part of the gentlemen agreement Juve uses with older prospective free agents: come for free, go for free. He did not need acting like a cretin through social networks to force a move, just hand in your transfer request, show up for a chat and find the best way to part. Same with Khedira next year, I feel. Different cases are Alex Sandro and Dybala, still entering their prime and needing a big fee buyer together with their transfer request.

Salah is a RW or probably SS, since his strongest foot is the left one so he better be on the right wing for his shots to be better. Can't see him playing well on the LW.

That deal will probably go into July. Even if they miss on those 30m it will take some time before any ruling. Let's see who blinks first.

My bet is we buy him at the end of June for 35+10.

Agree 100% would much rather have Darmian than what will no doubt be a modest transfer fee. A solid player who can play in multiple slots, useful with shaw hurt/Valencia getting old
 
Multitude of possibilities but Jorge Mendes was in Barcelona for several hours today and speculated he was there for Semedo

I've never been a fan of Darmien. Too static for me as a full back. Modern football requires your full backs to be mobile and attack minded. Darmien often poses no threat whatsoever on his flank.

I do admit that as a pure stopper defender, he is very decent.

Kdb, Sterling,Sane,Stones,Jesus and all the other young talent they're linked with and the ones they've lined up in their youth sides like Alex Garcia suggests otherwise. The City side is being built for the future as well as the present. And the attractive style of football they play is a long term vision of the owners. I hate how they acquired there wealth just as much as you but let's not pretend he's a cheque book manager bringing in a bunch of 27/28yos to buy success at all costs and by any means necessary. He spends money but he has a way of doing things.
