A few people have talked about signing Real players as though we're too good for their 'rejects' but as people have said, they sell some great players and in case nobody noticed, we're not close to their level.

James, Bale, and a few of their other players would be among our best if we signed them.
 
All this talk of Gareth Bale. Think the player may have a say if he wants to leave and there as been nothing from Bale

Exactly, failed. We signed a crocked Falcao when we could have got Costa, we signed a crocked Schweinsteiger, a Di Maria who wanted PSG etc.. Pogba is the only success and even then, we put more pressure on him than the price tag already brought with our relentless commercial whoring of him. Just think back to the Liverpool game.

We should be trying to sign hungry players with a point to prove, in positions that we desperately need to fill. Not big names with big problems like Bale or Griezmann who likes to complain about English weather every time he gets a chance. We have taken our commercial commitments too far and it has led to problems on the pitch.

Just out of interest, who are those hungry players?
And I guess they need to be hungry and not complain about the weather.

Who heard about adding wc players to be on the same level as Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern. Shocking.

If he's on the bench for a CL final in Cardiff he may think that's the bookend of his Madrid career.
I guess it'll all come out next week if there's any truth to it

Quite a lot of talk about Bale now. I know he has his injury problems, but I'd be so happy if we signed him. He'd take us to another level.

Him, along with Perisic and a striker would mean our attack be looking pretty tasty.

Perisic/Martial Striker/Rashford Bale/Mkhitaryan

Agree with this. Perisic and Bale on the wings with Lukaku up front would be pretty decent. Then Mkhitaryan/Mata/Lingard can play centrally where they are best.

That was my biggest gripe with the club briefing. Just tell the truth. Just tell us that Griezmann interest "cooled" because of the ban. Making up this bullshit about zlatan made us look like a political party denying their leader was shagging the maid.

I think Real Madrid are going to bid for De Gea. It's in our interests to make it work for us, am sure we'd also have been interested in Morata but he looks set for Milan.

Bale is just what we need and a risk we have to take. We are in desperate need of clinical attackers, goal threats from other positions than the striker. We scored less goals than Burnley last season and I think that's due to a lack of clinical attackers. Way too many chances missed.

This season? Dembele, Fabinho, Lukaku, Belotti, Mendy, Silva, Salah, Keita.... basically anyone close to the top, with time to get there. Signing crocked superstars and Real Madrid rejects because they have a fancy name that sells shirts is pretty much asking for problems.

We haven't turned a top prospect into a top player in a long long time and that's a massive problem.

Why is it that so many supporters forget that Mourinho said after the Europa Final that he had given the transfer list to Woodward two months previously. He also provided details of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices for each position he was interested in strengthening. He added that he foresaw most of the purchases to have been done but not all of them by the time they started their tour.

Now is a month before the transfer window opens and at the moment all the chips are with the selling club so, they're demanding extortionate fees - especially from United. I don't expect any real activity until early to mid-July.

Just a fancy name. Say we have a chance of landing Kroos or Isco. Would you take them?

Players like Salah, Keita and Dembele certainly won't take us to the next level.
 
This is getting ridiculous now. We didn't go for Griezmann because we wanted a number 9. Now they say we won't go for Lacazette because we want to go for Bale, who isn't even a striker at all!

I wouldn't imagine a French journalist knows the ins and outs of our transfer targets to be honest.

I think its the thing - United don't want Griezamann. Bale might leave Madrid, hey lets write that United want Bale.

Nobody seems really interested in James especially with Real trying to recoup as much as they can on the enormous outlay they made on him. I've noticed in the last two weeks his value in the press has dropped significantly from about 80m euros to about 40m euros. Of course, its probably all media BS.
