Bale in his last season at Spurs was a much better spectacle than Bale this season, so yes, he has and I understand that but I think we are all getting carried away with the prices of some players here, I'm not being delusional in thinking that you can pick up amazing players for 40-50m these days but 100m pounds for Gareth Bale in his current condition is ludicrous, Real payed 80m for a 24 year old (Top 5 in the world at the time) player and he is 28 next month with reoccurring injuries and hasn't progressed a great deal in those 4 years especially the last two,
So 60-70m isn't scandelous, he simply hasn't taken his game up a level as Ronaldo did when he left or Suarez for Barca or even Modric to Madrid, albeit mostly because of injuries.
Can any of them score goals?
The conspiracy theorist in me always wonders how much money is being made by dragging on United related transfer stories due to the mass amounts of website visits with ads either directly or through redirects from tweets etc.

Salah was one of 5 players in Europe to reach double figures for both league goals 15 and assists 11 this season, Keita is the most obvious top level midfielder purchase since Chelsea got Kante and Dembele has ridiculous talent. What has Bale done this Season other than warm the table in his doctors office?
Isco and Kroos are probably their only 2 players i would be happy to lose De Gea for tbh.

Bale and new striker (Lukaku) are both EPL proven. Would easily score 15+ league goals for us, in my opinion.

Unfortunately this season past your are correct but with Perisic being way better as Martials performances this season have been meh.

Martial has a long way to go before he can be considered a starter in Mourinho's team.
Pogba isn't a success yet. And all of those were the manager's feck ups, as will Pogba and next big signing be if they go wrong. If we should sign hungry players then Mourinho should target hungry players.
Did you know who Bailly was before he became one of the best layers in our team?
Keita is like the lovechild of Pogba and Kante, with goals. If Liverpool manage to land him he will be their best player.
Obviously we need a top class player to come in and score us goals but i think our imbalances at fullback and in our midfield and wide positions are just as big a problem and one that can be patched without any big names coming in.
Let compete in the PL first. Keita is supposed to be extremely talented by all accounts. You not knowing him is your own problem.
Why being agressive?

I was blown away when I saw Keita's YouTube highlights, but having seen him playing now I'm less convinced. He's not as polished as Kante, for example, in terms of all round technique etc. Could be a really good player if he develops further.
If you've seen Perisic play you would know he should be nowhere near our starting line up either.

Not many players are. Most are over priced. If we were going to sign someone at the valuation we think they should have, we would be getting someone from the Championship level. That is how prices have gone. You have to accept it.

what 5 years of failed galatico attempts are you referring to?
I often hear of our supposed "galatico" approach in recent times but put our dealings under closer inspection and i don't think we have been "galatico" mad. who are these supposed galaticos? di maria is one, fair enough, it didn't work out. pogba is an amazing player and we're lucky to have him. ibra was crucial this season and a free transfer. falcao? we didn't buy. bastian? came for cheap and was at the end of his career at the highest level.
outside of that we have bought some "good" players but hardly galaticos; mkhitaryan, scheneiderlin, herrera.

There haven't been any really. A galatico to me is someone at the height of their powers, not being fobbed off with someone who was great, but no longer is or someone the selling club wants rid of. They want rid for a reason.
For ages? He has been here for less than 2 seasons and had one bad season. Martial has to been given more chances especially at the start of the next season, if he still plays badly then Perisic can start.
If he was seriously on the market for 60m, I reckon he'd have at least 20 suitors. I'm not saying he is worth 100m, but I think Real could well hold out for what they paid.
Let them hold out then. Next year his value would begin to drop and when that happens it will be downhill..

football is crazy these days. 21 year old with bags of potential had a storming first season and an average to poor one this year and people talk as if he should be thrown in the bushes already.
