Getting a touch frustrated with this transfer window.
We were going to sign Griezmann remember. Think we might have got Morata as well. That would have been great. Problem I have is I am happy with Morata, but just don't think he is enough. Not with a kid as the other option and a lad who is great at football but always looks like he hates playing.I think it's more got todo with us tooting our horns about being the richest club in the world.
When has that every stopped him?
Reports from yesterday are saying we bid £39m and Inter rejected it because they want £50. Regarding Morata, every outlet has said all along Madrid wanted €90m.Well a) we haven't signed either yet, so you've no idea what the spending is
and b) the reported fees wanted by the clubs are $50m and €80m, not pounds. That's £44m and £70m. Those fees represent a much smaller percentage of our income than similar fees do for Arsenal and Liverpool.
£50m for Perisic when a better and younger Salah went for £36m and £80m for Morata when Lacazette is going for £50m would be bad buisness imo. Hopefully this reckless spending won't come back to haunt us.

He did and went back leaving his agent to sort out his futureThought he cut his honeymoon short 2 weeks ago. None of these hacks know fecking anything until someone goes for a medical.

I lost interest around about the time we lost interest in Greizmann.Getting a touch frustrated with this transfer window.
Yet you are still opening this thread....I lost interest around about the time we lost interest in Greizmann.
I don't care where he goes as long as we're not paying his wages anymoreWell its unlikely that Chelsea or Arsenal were offering for him so Everton are clearly the next best team in the Prem. Not that an amazing sign of loyalty, I'm sure most would rather join Everton than West han
Sanchez, Ozil and Lacazette would make Arsenal dangerous enough but Wenger still gonna Wenger
Not happening.
you're assuming the independent knows whats going on, when the most likely answer is that they are talking out of their ass.Not happening.
Ha ha, surprise surprise!
Said the other day that in the long term, given the amount of money that is riding on us having a good season this year, it is probably not worth the pain of haggling over a few million if it risks us not having the players available for a full preseason. Obviously every player has got to have a ceiling price and I can maybe understand being reluctant to spend so much on the likes of Perisic, but in the context of what Lukaku is likely to go for the amount that Madrid want for Morata seems about the going rate. If we truly believe that he has it in him to be a world star (which we clearly do as we're trying to sign him) then his value will increase hugely anyway....look at what Higuain went for last year...
History shows we will give whatever is required. The hidden price of overpaying.
They'll need to invest in defence and a holding mid before I'm worried.
Higuain had a buyout clause and is a proven goal scorer and a regualar for his country. Look at lacazette's price
Thy finished above us last season. You'd have good reason to be 'worried' even if they signed no players at all.
And why would Mourinho care about the financial aspect of the deals? He's the manager, not the CFO. He wants certain players at a certain point time, regardless of the costs for the club. I'm very pro-Mourinho, but this logic doesn't rule out that he did actually leak his discontent to the press because first and foremost, he'll be interested in his own success, not in the long's long-term financial health.
Aside from a handful of clubs like Everton and Milan, this has been a slow transfer window all round.
No need to panic yet.

This is why this leak was such a bad idea.
Poor form by Mourinho.
That is why I think that article was bs.
Surely Jose would've thought of the consequences. Yes, on one side you put pressure on Ed to deliver, but, at the same time, you make it known to every club that Ed will be desperate and you can hold on for more money.
Which histroy? Pogba history?
